This is a great expansion for those that already have a great grasp on the rules of the game. Using this expansion makes the game so different and much more interesting. There is more to think about and its opens up a few more strategies - no more spending the entire last round hoarding eggs! We are so happy we bought this. Also, its for a great price.

So we may have developed an addiction to this game. We have played more than a game a day worth of games dice we got it. We also plan on getting the new expansion as soon as its on pre-order. To top it off we are browsing etsy for fancier tokens and contemplating a fancier bird house for dice rolls (love that mechanism btw).

The base game of Wingspan is great and this expansion....expands upon those concepts. This box adds new cards and one new power type (end of round powers) so there is very little to explain to those already familiar with the game. This is the kind of expansion I like; not one that complicates the game for the purpose of complicating the game, but one that adds more of what you love. Highly recommend buying the expansion if you like the base game. If you dont like the base game, this expansion will not change that.

This is a great expansion pack. Love the extra goals and the new cards with new powers.

Adds more variety and new mechanics to an already great game.

This is an expansion set for the base game Wingspan. You must have the base game. For those that have the base game, this is a MUST have expansion. The nectar food source is a wild, but it expires. The nectar also adds one more variable where players compete for points. The new nectar is where its at! The added birds and game goals are nice too. Get this addition, you won’t regret it.

Some might disagree, but there is no better modern board game than wingspan to introduce to newcomers to boardgames. Friends, family, young or old, wingspan is a game that makes it easy to bring everyone together and spend some excellent quality time. This second expansion only makes Wingspan even a better game without complicating it. It has taken all the feedback from the customers and have implemented new mechanics to add even more variety into the game, providing many more potential strategies that somewhat lacked in the base game (after lots of games). For those who already are familiar with it, its easy to implement and while a tad more learning cure for the newcomers, its still doable with a few more minutes of teaching. Overall this expansion shows care, understanding for the customers wants, and additional hundreds of hours of entertainment. A must have in any serious boardgames collection. A 10/10

The game board is different due to adding nectar. It took us a while to learn how to use these, but that is part of what the family loves about the game! Lots more strategy and beautiful birds!
