> 24 hourI want to recommend this expansion almost exclusively to Wingspan fanatics, you really should have Wingspan rated probably at a 9/10 and it is one of your favorite games for the European expansion to really be worth it. We are Wingspan fanatics so this was a must buy for us, it has added some minor changes to the overall game, more end game goals, and mostly lots of new cards to the mix. The things I love about this are the new goal tiles for each round; it is very nice to have an increased number of possibilities and new ones to show up on the table, this was probably the number one feature for me personally. Next are the new blue powers that some of the European birds have, these are scored at the end of each round. Once again this adds a new feeling to the game which we enjoy and are happy to have it included in our base game. The European expansion brings some other new bird abilities into play that increases some of the interaction between players. If youre familiar with Wingspan you probably know how you can play games without even ever looking at what you other opponents are doing, its all about just focusing on and building your own tableau in front of you. This expansion changes that slightly with the occasional card that plays off of or when other players trigger abilities. It builds upon the base games scavenger interaction cards and makes these interactive cards more frequent in your deck. Weve played this expansion two different ways, firstly standalone by itself, and while this is fun the frequency of the blue bird powers in the deck artificially inflates scores too much. The other way is with all cards shuffled into the base game deck and this is what we prefer. Blue birds show up less in your draws or in the bird tray and that makes them all the more exciting and sought after when you can play them. For another other Wingspan fanatics out there this is a must buy for your game, for those who only just like or enjoy Wingspan I think you could pass on this one. It certainly adds even more fun and enjoyment to the game but it is so subtle that anyone not extremely familiar with the base game would never notice its inclusion. I hate to remove a star for that because its for sure a 5 Star expansion if you already love Wingspan, but for the average player I think it is more a 4 Star.

> 24 hourFirst off you’ll need the original game as this just contains more bird cards to add. If you’re a fan of the game it’s a must, birds in European expansion have different powers, effects, and the round perks that really help the game feel fresh.

> 24 hourWe have the European Extension and now the Oceanic. Each give new features that add dimensions, as well as new birds, to the game and show the game developers have vision and listened to user feedback.

> 24 hourThis expansion is great. It adds a dynamic to the original wingspan game that adds more fun to playing. The new player mat helps speed up game play so you dont feel like you are waiting for food. Definitely worth getting all the expansions for this game but this one adds the most.
