You get more food and eggs which are essential when playing with more than 2 people. Also, the European birds are interesting and there are additional teal cards with different end of round powers. Also, more bonus cards and a few more tiles. So well worth it!

A lot of people dont like nectar as it speeds the game up. In a lot of ways that kind of thought process is unfair, because what it REALLY does is mitigate bad draws and bad rolls. It does make the game faster, but the game is overall a better game for the changes. Plus....birbs. Also, I dont know what Im rating with the thickness rating I was asked to provide.

This expansion is great. It adds a dynamic to the original wingspan game that adds more fun to playing. The new player mat helps speed up game play so you dont feel like you are waiting for food. Definitely worth getting all the expansions for this game but this one adds the most.

This is such a fun game. I a two person game with my husband weekly, and its great with more people at the table.

We played the base game every day for months, so this added a welcome variety! We love Wingspan!

I enjoyed adding more birds to the deck and having some more bonus cards.

I love Wingspan. This is the only Stonemaier game I felt I had to own, and the first engine building game Ive really enjoyed. Its card driven, with clear information, and is easy to teach. I really like that the game doesnt scare away newcomers to the hobby. I really dont like that the plastic card holder wont hold sleeved cards. Automatically thrown away, like the original. But I did keep the display lid, just to have a different color. The set includes more bird cards, with some easy mechanisms. Nice. But my favorite addition is the goal tiles, because the original had samey ones.
