Good quality and size BUT too few pages for my needs. Wish there was a version with more pages

Ugh. I really wanted to like this. Sadly, the cons outweigh the pros, as far as Im concerned, because they more heavily affect the use of the notebook-the actual watercolor painting. Pros: Great size Beautiful hardback Thick, heavyweight paper Nice binding Cons: Like other reviewers, the paper had a weird, water resistant film in spots, which was utterly frustrating, and required me to scrub with my brush against the paper. I like to work wet on wet, making this absolutely not acceptable. One side of the paper has a very noticeable mechanical dumpling from the way the paper was pressed. This became very noticeable, especially under dark colors. I wont be buying again. The global arts materials watercolor notebook is superior.

One of the 2 sketchbooks I ordered was missing the cover sleeve. The cover of the book was creased and dirty.

I have had a few sketchbooks and this is by far the best paper! I love it so much! it doesnt matter what medium I throw at it it stays flat and beautiful every time. I love the fact that it is hardbound and it lays flat when Im working with it. I highly recommend it!

Well made, has some nice heft to it. Pages are solid and agreeable. Great sketch book. :)

An sich ist das Skizzenbuch toll, leider nimmt es Farbe nicht so gut auf wie manch andres Papier und leider ist diese nach dem trocknen auch nicht so intensiv. Für Ein Skizzenbuch aber absolut ausreichend.

I use these books to write in. They cost close to $20 on the street, so this is a great deal. The new covers feel very nice, a bit rubbery . . . may hold up better over the centuries. Some similar books have more pages. They also cost more money. You can do the math. For me, this book is just write.

Definitely worth the money! It holds up to our prismacolor markers and we cant wait to test other materials on it. Smooth paper with minimal bleed through as long as you arent coloring with sharpie and how saturated your colors are.

Gave this as a gift to my husband for his art journaling. This is his preferred book to use. High quality. Came on time.
