Strathmore products are general good and prof grade and this was no exception. However, packaging from the seller was a huge disappointment considering I’m ordering all the way from Hong Kong, the sketchbook was just sent within a flimsy plastic bag with no protection. I received sketchbook with all four corners damaged! Luckily the sketchbook cover was hard enough and the papers inside were safe.

We love these as we use them as hand and foot print keep sake for the baby. a set of prints each month and can find them in one easy place

This is the best watercolor sketchbook Ive ever owned! Im never going to get another brand or size again because this one is perfect. Great size, wonderful paper texture, and easy to make lie flat by cracking the spine. The pages are not double sided, one is the less absorbent side of true watercolor paper, which to me meant I could do more silly experimental stuff on that side or just draw and not worry about painting every little thing. Fantastic sketchbook! Cant wait to fill up another one!

I absolutely looooooooove it! It handles several different mediums. The paper is smooth and has a slight (SLIGHT almost none-noticeable) beige tint to it. I mostly use it for alcohol based markers, paint markers, charcoal, light watercolor use, ink, oil pastels, and chalk pastels.

Unfortunately a lot of pages have an odd film on them which makes it hard to paint wet on wet. It doesnt actually absorb the water, it slides around.

I was looking for a sturdy sketchbook that would withstand acrylic paint and other media. This product works well with a variety of media as it should, and pages can be used double-sided without colour or paint seeping through. I tested some acrylic paint in several layers, and the paper holds its integrity well with minor rippling at the paper edges. Although, I have not tested this with watercolour yet, so I cant say for certain how well the paper holds its integrity for that case. The small number of pages of this sketchbook provides a nice way to document your work over short time periods. I would buy this product again.
