> 3 dayUPDATE: After my experience with this model ProTac HL-X, my HL4, my 2L, and my Stinger LED, Im planning on ordering a 2nd HL-X Ive owned and used various Streamlights for years now, and its ridiculous how rugged these things are! And this ProTac HL-X is no different. Streamlight models have all been bright as HECK, durable, and reliable. Seriously get one if youre considering. Ive abused these things daily and they still work flawlessly years later. For the price, theyre a steal. You wont regret getting one.

> 3 dayI don’t like that it gets hot quickly

> 3 dayAt its highest setting, the product does produce an extremely bright beam, but within a few minutes it becomes far too hot to comfortably handle. I would not recommend purchasing.

> 3 dayVery bright. Great quality

> 3 dayI ordered one of these and a Gearlight two pack (since they were highly rated and dirt cheap). The Streamlight absolutely crushes the Gearlight. If you are indoors The Gearlight is ok. Once outside forget about it. At 100 yards the Gearlight does nothing. The Streamlight however turned night into day at 100 yards plus.

Greater than one weekNot a great EDC light because of its size, but a fantastic light to keep in a vehicle. Lots of light.

> 3 dayI use it every day as a police officer and it hasnt failed me yet. It has been dropped multiple times and still functions well. I have had a few times where Ive presses the button and it hasnt turned on and then I press again and it strobes but that has been far and few between

> 3 dayIf you are going to carry ONE light on you for self defense this is the one. Super bright setting for reaching way out in darkness exposing any threat. STROBE setting that blinds the bad guy, and low for basic use. End cap can be used to strike the bad guy as well. Can also mount on long guns.

> 3 dayYou want something really bright? Check. Low beam when bright is too bright? Check. Want a strobe to signal or disorient? Check. This flashlight rocks. Bought it to replace an older, lower-lumen model from Surefire. Buy it, youll love it.

> 3 dayI had this mounted on a pump shotgun and the light would flicker just by racking the forend. I also tested the light by gently bumping it on a table and it flickered in that instance as well. I opened up the light and noticed theres no front spring preventing the batteries from impacting the circuits, which is kind of pathetic since I have dual spring lights that dont flicker and only cost a fraction of the price, like the Atactical A1S.
