> 24 hourThis is about the perfect light for everyday carry. This AAA version is shorter and lighter than the rechargeable version and I prefer simply installing a new battery versus having to recharge. It is sufficiently bright for practical purposes in everyday life. This AAA model has on/off and thats it. No fumbling around with different modes. No nonsense. Pull it off your pocket and hold the button for momentary or click it in all the way to keep it on until you click it again. Heres the homerun: the 2-way clip that allows you to clip this to the brim of your hat for an instant headlamp. Its light enough to not pull your hat down or otherwise be a nuisance. The rechargeable model, in my opinion, has too much leverage and will cause the brim of your hat to drop. Ive lost probably 6 of these over the years and I always order a new one immediately. Its that good. Oh, and its cheap too compared to other brand-name flashlights.

> 24 hourIve been a Streamlight user for probably a decade. Started with the 2aaa model and still use one occasionally. I really like the size of the single aaa. The trade off in size for being dimmer wasnt a big deal. Then this came along and it seemed like the best of both worlds, bright and small. And it is. For a little while. And then it gets dim. Really dim. Really fast. It seemed like with the alkaline version that I would have to change the battery maybe every other month. With this it seems to need recharging almost weekly. And it isnt really a big deal, except that you need to remember to do it. And it seems that the only time I can remember to do it is when Im out somewhere and I need the light and its not bright enough for what I need it for. It would almost be better to have a 150 lumen light that puts out a constant, or slightly dimming, light than a 250 that seems to dim over the course of a few minutes. Perhaps the software on future versions could include a battery check feature that shows the charging led as green or red when the tail switch is activated. Maybe green until it reaches 75% and then red after. Or have a reserve function where you can click three times and get a little brightness back. Now, all of that said, I am still carrying it. I still use it.

> 24 hourPros: Very lightweight, very small, and very practical. Cons: None from what I can see. Thoughts: This is my first time investing and looking into carrying a small every day care light. Because of that, I do not have much to compare it to besides an iphone light. With that said, however, I still enjoy using this light 100x over my iphone light. The first day I got it, I was using it on a baseball cap as a headlight to install a light fixture on the ceiling, which freed up my hands to do the work I needed. I carry it on my personnel daily, and dont even notice in my pocket. Even in gym shorts, there is no weight pulling my shorts down. Because of that, I will always have it on me, and use it as needed. The stream of light is strong, do not make the mistake of pointing it in someones eye and flashing them, because they will be stunned for a moment. This can be an obviously good thing if you were started un expectantly and shine this in someones face, in self defense. I use this while grilling at night, walking my dog at night, and looking into small crevasses to retrieve dropped/lost items. What I enjoy most is that it is so damn light, there is no reason NOT to carry this item on me. Because of that, I give it five stars, and highly recommend it. Update 2019: love this thing. Use it at work all the time. So small and compact I often forget it’s in my pocket. But I have to be extra careful with it in my pant pockets. Bc I forget about it I may sometimes brush against the door panels and scratch my paint. Still love it, 10/10 perfect for EDC at work, home, and mischief.

> 24 hour5/5 stars for a great product. The MicroStream is an impressively bright miniature flashlight, and I discovered firsthand that its tough enough to take a real beating. It is as narrow as a tube of chapstick and ~2 cm longer. Included in the package was a genuine Energizer battery, a breakaway lanyard, and an extra rubber pushbutton. Im liable to lose the extra pushbutton before I need it, but its inclusion tells me that this is a product made to endure. Speaking of which, my Microstream recently survived a 30+ foot fall onto solid rock (climbing related mishap - forgot I had left the flashlight in my pocket the previous evening) and sustained only minor cosmetic damage. The battery inside of the flashlight actually malfunctioned due to the force of the impact, but the light itself was unharmed! Impressive, to say the least. I cant comment on battery runtime yet, but after nearly 2 hours of use with the original battery there was no noticeable dimming. All-in-all, the MicroStream is an extremely well-engineered piece of equipment that, while inexpensive enough to knock around without remorse, is also resilient and bright enough to rely on when you need it most. If you EVER find yourself in dark places then you need one of these! ____________________ Pros: phenomenal light output well rounded light spectrum compact - any smaller and you couldnt hold it effectively (very, very) impact resistant relatively inexpensive 1xAAA pocket clip strikes good balance between ease of use and security Cons: easy to misplace/forget due to size beam and brightness are not adjustable Unsure: battery life? (I cant give a typical runtime yet, but it seems good so far: nearly 2 hours from one AAA without noticeable dimming) waterproof? (appears well sealed, but I definitely havent tested this out)

> 24 hourIve used this light for over 10 years at this point, Ive had 3. One I dropped in a bonfire after 3 years, and as you can tell from the wear Ive had the top one in the photo since then. Ive worked EMS, and that lights seen rain, snow, a ton of swimming, hiking, camping, dropping, probably a few hundred batteries, you name it. Its a little tank. The only reason Im replacing it is the little rubber gasket on the end has gotten brittle from age. So I cant fault the light for that. Its well worth the money, its decently bright, waterproof way beyond whats recommended, it weighs as much as a AAA battery, just an all around good EDC light.

> 24 hourUsing it to replace a Monarch 400 with my Leatherman Wave. It is smaller, and the button is a little hard to push. But if fits in my Leatherman pouch very well, and I love Streamlight flashlights! I’ve used them in firefighting and I know they are great quality. I expect this to hold up well.

> 24 hourKeep in mind it’s size and output power. It’s not a powerhouse light but it’s really, really good. Battery life is good, output is good, size is perfect. I have carried this light in my pocket, clipped on my belt, and clipped to my hat, oh, and even worn around my neck. I was a little skeptical of the clip but it has a great grip. I highly recommend this light if you are looking for a simple light that gets the job done.

> 24 hourIve put this flashlight through the ringer twice. Its been with me through floods (Never submerged though) and keeps going. Battery life is pretty good for a single triple A battery. Its decently bright for everyday tasks and the button is great. I bought another one for my bag, and Ill probably buy its big brother just because I love it. Buy it, you wont regret it.
