I received this to replace a sun umbrella I had for years. I bought it a few weeks ago, knowing I was going to be on a trip that involved being in the sun. Well....after using it several times on the FIRST DAY, it broke! I was wondering why the umbrella sagged in one spot. Turns out a screw came out of one of the spines, unbeknownst to me. and the spine poked a hole through the umbrella! As soon as I got home, I contacted Amazon who arranged for a replacement. Im hoping to have better luck with this one. Otherwise I will ask for a refund.

I took my umbrella on a vacation to keep me out of the sun. I opened it and the top cap popped off. I could use the umbrella, but still disappointed that the top popped off first thing. Looks a bit used after the cap came off. I tried to glue it back on when I got home, but didnt work. I believe it keeps the sun off, but didnt use it for long as I didnt have to stand in the long line I was expecting and managed to find a lot of shade at the resort.

I never step out in the sun without this umbrella. Regular umbrellas block some of the sun but this umbrella blocks out the sun completely and as an extra benefit, it keeps me cool. In Florida you can get a sunburn just walking to the mailbox. I look younger than my age because I protect my skin from the damaging rays of the sun and this umbrella makes it easy. For long walks, or walks on the beach, I use a large golf umbrella with a UV blocker but for everyday use this compact travel umbrella is a must have especially in Florida.

Great sun protection but very flimsy. A little wind andthe umbrella flips up easily.

A good gift and good protection

So you have to press the button to open this thing, there’s no way to inch it up. So this is my problem, when I press the button it sometimes goes into “spider mode” which is to say that the top is not completely fanned out. If you move the umbrella up & down it looks like spider legs wafting about. So then I have to push the button again to close the spider, and bring it down with my hands. Then I can only open it by pressing the button. Honestly I have no idea if I have a defective product or if I just lack the magic touch. So I beg and plead with spidee and hope that when I press the button it will be like magic..eventually it is and then I’m good to go.

I absolutely loved this umbrella. It exceeded my expectations. I purchased it for a trip to disneyworld. It worked great until I lost it. I hope whoever found it enjoys it as much as I did. Highly recommend!!!

There isn’t enough sunscreen in the world to protect my porcelain skin. I was always stuck wearing sun shirts that get very hot in the summer heat. This umbrella has changed all that! I didn’t get burned at all after using it all weekend. The automatic open / close works great and means I can use this one handed. This umbrella feels sturdy and will now be my constant hot weather companion. Extra bonus- it feels 10 degrees cooler in my portable shade!
