i really like this umbrella. i use it when i go walking to protect me from the sun and the rain. It really is lightweight (compared to other lightweight umbrellas ive ordered) and comes with a cover that has a long cord so i can carry it on my shoulder. Very good umbrella! i will order again for myself and for gifts.

I took my umbrella on a vacation to keep me out of the sun. I opened it and the top cap popped off. I could use the umbrella, but still disappointed that the top popped off first thing. Looks a bit used after the cap came off. I tried to glue it back on when I got home, but didnt work. I believe it keeps the sun off, but didnt use it for long as I didnt have to stand in the long line I was expecting and managed to find a lot of shade at the resort.

I bought this to attend an outdoor festival, knowing that a regular umbrella doesnt block the sun as much as youd think. It does a really good job for this. The only issue is that for people behind me, the silver is so reflective, its practically shining in peoples eyes. It was fine, but I did have to pay attention.

Nice size. Perfect for grandstand use. Does not tolerate breezes well but easy to adjust. Pleased with this purchase.

It’s a great product for sun protection. I use it while surveying in the desert. It keeps me 10-15 degrees cooler than without it. The problem I have with it, though, is that once the umbrella is open, there’s no latch to hold it open, so it’s a bit floppy. I’m hoping it’s just a defect with the one I got, so I’m planning to exchange it for another one.

I purchased this umbrella back in April, though it took me a while to get past feeling conspicuous and actually use it. Thanks to the brutal, record-setting stretch of triple-digits days weve had for the past several months, Ive largely gotten over my self-consciousness and have used this umbrella frequently. While it isnt a miracle worker (you wont feel 10 degrees cooler under it, for instance), it does keep you from being seared alive while walking across a hot parking lot. I have noticed that the fabric appears rather thin; the sun is clearly visible when you look up through the canopy. But my biggest complaint is the flimsy aluminum spokes. In under four months of use, one spoke snapped in two upon opening. This, of course, caused the umbrella to open haphazardly. I managed to still use it by pulling down the awkwardly jutting side. Several other spokes have sinced snapped and the umbrella now completely flips up when opened and is unusable. Im now back to being seared while walking across parking lots. This sun umbrella was nice while it lasted, but Im not sure that Im ready to plunk down another $30 for such a cheaply made product.

I bought this for an upcoming trip. Im not fond of wearing hats in high humidity. Mine arrived looking just like the picture...same color and with the sleeve. It appears to be a decent umbrella, not the highest quality made but not cheap either. I wont be using it as a rain umbrella, as I have others for that. The outside has a very silvery covering and inside a very dark black. Both are heavy plastic, not the parachute material you find with regular umbrellas. I did not find the handle hard to hold onto, like the previous review. It folds up pretty compact. Not as much as you see with the travel like tote umbrellas but not much larger either. It would fit into a tote bag, or you can carry it by the strap. I wont be carrying mine though, unless I am going inside.

This sun umbrella does a great job of keeping off the sun and help to keep you cooler, too, since the sun isnt beating down on your head and shoulders. The only negative I would make is in the design of the umbrella itself. When you try to close it down, unless youre really careful, the ribs of the umbrella tend to dig into your hand. I actually one of the ribs break the skin on the back of my hand one time while trying to close it. Getting it all the way closed into the locked position takes some care and effort.
