> 3 dayThe umbrella mostly serves the purpose to shield majority of the sun light. But the quality of the fabric is so low, many holes are already found when the open the package the first time. The quality control is the main compliant for which I will need to return it

> 3 dayWe just got back from Disney World for a week, and I am so glad I bought this umbrella. It gets brutally hot in Florida, and the rain is no joke! This baby kept me cooler in the HOT sun and was a champ in the torrential downpour. This was my best purchase for this family vacation. The one mistake I made is I only bought one. I should have gotten one for each of us.

> 3 dayI’ve used a regular umbrella for sun protection (which was still a little sheer) , but I first saw one of these (with the extra silver coating) on a Japanese travel you tube video. I feel like it gives way more protection from the sun. I use a high SPF as well. Had to figure out the one button open and close, but I’m very happy with it so far. The carry case cover sleeve has thick strings so u can drape over your shoulder or attach to a backpack.

> 3 dayI purchased the original Sun Mountain umbrella for golfing many years ago and it was a game changer when used it with my push cart. I still use it to this day. I enjoy hiking in Utah, but it can be brutal in the summer. With a sun umbrella it can feel 15 or more degrees cooler under the umbrella. I had high hopes for this umbrella as something I could use around town and keep in my pack. Never took it hiking as it broke after the third use.

> 3 dayThe sun protection works pretty goo. This was used during an outdoor festival. It was open and closed several times. Sadly it eventually broke, it wont close properly. Also, the heat caused the black dye in the handle to start dissolving and ended up in our hands. Very disappointing first day use.

> 3 dayUsed this umbrella for a week in 110+ degree sun and heat index. Held up well and did an excellent job of blocking the sun. It didn’t like the wind and is not that strong in a storm. Some silver came off where the joints fold up on the top of the umbrella. Also, it was heavier than I expected.

> 3 dayThis umbrella opens and closes with an automatic button, but its hard to get the stem telescoped back again for compactness. You have to apply considerable pressure from both the top and the bottom---NOT good when you are in a hurry or when its wet. Its also a little heavier than a conventional umbrella. The strap is secured with Velcro rather than a snap. It could be used only as a sunshade, but if I were using this umbrella in the rain, I think I would put it in a plastic bag after closing it with the button, rather than having to push hard on the wet top to telescope it back into its smallest shape. Thats too inconvenient when youre in a hurry. BUT I have had opportunities now to use it as protection from the summer sun, and it definitely helps. Where i live, sunstroke is a real risk, and this solar umbrella makes quite a difference. I consider it a good, practical purchase.

> 3 dayGreat sun protection but very flimsy. A little wind andthe umbrella flips up easily.

Greater than one weekI wanted a sun umbrella that wasnt made of white lace, or suchlike. This is a reasonably sturdy, working sun umbrella. It compacts nicely, to a small folded shape. Opens and closes easily. Ive only used it half a dozen times, so far, but no problems yet. Keeps the sun off well, and holds up to the mild winds weve had so far.

> 3 dayI use this umbrella several times a week for errands. It has held up very well in sunny 80-90F weather and humid heavy rain. Also comes with a handy pouch with a string. Great for the price.
