> 3 dayI run a photography business with several studios. I have worked with the plain picture wire for over 40 years. Always sticking the wires in my fingers as I frame and hang art. This product has a very thin but pliable vinyl coating over the strong wire eliminating the frayed wires that cut you. Never going back to the old stuff.

> 3 dayThis is my go to picture wire. Its easy to twist on the ends and wont stab your fingers in the process. It holds over 40 pounds, but your end tying technique needs to be up to par with that kind of weight or I imagine it will unwind if you simply twist the ends. You just need a decent cable cutter or it will still fray the ends a bit.

> 3 dayNot the manufacturers fault, and this wire itself is good quality, but the Amazon packaging was poor and the spool broke in shipping, so the wire was largely unraveled in the bag they shipped it in, making for quite a mess. I was able to put it on another spool, but kind of a hassle.

> 3 dayIts obvious why this wire has an almost perfect review record. Pros: 1. Its affordable and really a great deal. 2. Theres a lot of it and itll last a good long while. My wife paints a lot and I used to buy hanging wire at home depot. It was a few dollars for about 20 feet and Id go through it way too fast. 3. I was hesitant about the protective material thinking it might slip but I love it. Very gentle on the hands while tying and it does stay put. 4. Its strong. 5. Easy to cut with a pair of good tin snips. Cons: Zero

> 3 dayThe stuff I was using before was just plain wire, without any coating over it, and the stuff always left a residue on my hands, like lead, and the mess was annoying at the least. This stuff, by comparison, is a whole other experience, and easily turned a negative into a positive. Whoever thought of this, thank you so much.

> 3 dayI love the coating around this cable. Makes it much more comfortable to handle and it adds some nice grip for the crimping ferrules.

> 3 dayexcellent... perfect weight for all size paintings... I doubled it for much larger frames. easier to cut that larger gage wire.
