This is the way to go if you are framing regularly. It is a much better deal than buying it in small amounts or in a kit from the hardware store. It is a good versatile weight. If you wrap it properly, it holds tight onto itself and wont come loose.

Great product. It is easy on the hands, sturdy, and theres plenty of it. I used it to make a grid on an empty picture frame, and I clip cards and photos to it. Worked very well for this purpose. The frame is large and there was still plenty of wire left over when I finished.

Except for the fact that, having written that it had been repackaged, the vendor sent a jumble, loose with broken spool pieces in a baggy, instead of a wound spool, once I got it untangled and stored for efficient access, it has been the perfect wire for my purposes. The plastic coating is a nice finish and allows me to work with it without hurting my hands.

This wire is fantastic. Easy to work with, winds easily when tying off the wire on back of the picture frame. By far the best price I found for this was here on Amazon.

I leave one star because of the piss poor spool design, when the spool end came off when I was tying the wire off to it. The wire came off the spool and is a jumbled mess now, could not put the end cap on again, the wire came off like a slinky, contrary to what the reviews state below, I am leaving a photo so you can see what you end up with when trying to even cut a mass of the tangled mess off to try and keep the remaining roll together and make it easy to pull off again. Too late for me to return, this is basically the second time I have used it, and will never buy fro this company again. This wire is basically useless since it will be a hassle and a waste my time trying to get a piece of it out of this mess

Excellent quality and made in USA. Comes in several wire sizes so be careful what you order. Wire and Cable Specialties, Inc. website provides data on each wire size so you can decide what is right for you. The pictures shown on amazon may not match the wire size so pay attention to the description. The larger sizes are thicker and therefore harder to work with so dont choose them unless you have a really heavy picture. You can weigh your picture on bathroom scales. Go one size larger if in doubt. Size 2 for maximum picture weight of 15 pounds or 7 Kg Size 3 for maximum picture weight of 20 pounds or 9 Kg Size 4 for maximum picture weight of 25 pounds or 11 Kg Size 5 for maximum picture weight of 43 pounds or 20 Kg Size 6 for maximum picture weight of 60 pounds or 27 Kg Size 8 for maximum picture weight of 100 pounds or 45 Kg

This is my third time to order and returned twice now because it is delivered with broken plastic reel that holds the wire, causing the wire to fall off the reel. Disappointed because I can’t get it delivered in one piece. But the wire product is great.

The product itself is very good. Using it as a picture hanging wire and it is quite nice and holds its shape when twisted. However. The plastic spool it is packed on was broken on arrival. There were no pieces in the box so I have to assume it was broken at the shipping center. (Amazon shipped it?) The wire on the spool completely unwound in the box during shipping and was really bad to deal with. 500 ft of stainless wire literally unsprung from the box like a long loose spring. I made my own spool and rewound it on that and that will work fine. The annoyance factor for this was very high. If Amazon packed and/or handled this for shipping they need to look at how they are storing this product. This really was a big annoyance for me.
