> 24 hourBeautiful iconic scent. Hard puck lasts a long time. A little pricey, so shop around, however it is a MUST have in every wet shavers den!

> 24 hourI recently returned to wet shaving and i have been shaving for almost 50 years. This is the best smelling soap I have tried so far. It takes a little longer to lather than TOBS but it produces a thick silky lather and like TOBS it requires a lot of water to lather. I used a Muhle R41 razor with a Gillette Nacet blade. I survived with only a couple of weepers. This shave soap is very slick and very protective, and the scent is amazing. It is the scent that I have been searching for. It has a barbershop talc smell that is the perfect strength. It is not overwhelming but is subtle and lingers well after the shave. This is one of those soaps that I am not able to resist touching my face after the shave. A very close and smooth shave and I smell amazing.

> 24 hourThe fragrance on this is in the floral aldehydic family, as in Chanel No 5, with strong undertones of coumarin and limonene to give it a more masculine flavor. Its not for everyone, but it doesnt linger for more than an hour or two, and you can mute it by leaving the lid off the container between uses. Lathers well in hard water, provides excellent cushion and hydration. For me it performs on par with good English tallow soaps, and noticeably better than grocery store varieties. It will leave some coating on metal surfaces and may cause problems if youre trying to get a month out of a 5 blade cartridge. Probably not bad enough to be an issue for 3 blade razors. In terms of value, its among the lowest cost per use you can get currently. 125g refill pucks are under $10 and last about 8 months if you shave 7 days a week. The bowl is worth buying too. Nice lid, and wide enough that you can use an extra large brush without spilling lather everywhere.

> 24 hourI have tried a number of shave soaps over the past 8 to 10 years, and had almost forgotten about Tabac. Its just fantastic. For the price, you get a huge cake of very dense soap. Im sure this will last me well over a year without issue. The quality of the soap is great. Lathers very quickly into a thick, slick, luxurious foam. I happen to like the smell. I pick up peat smoke, black pepper, under a big floral hit. The smell doesnt linger long after shaving.

> 24 hourThis is the only soap Id ever shave with. I tend to prefer creams ordinarily but this soap ACTS like a cream and lathers like one too. Its got a cool old-world smoky scent and one of these tubs will last a very long time. Longer than any cream ever will for sure. This outperforms many much more expensive products and works great for straight or double-edge shaving as well as disposable types. It is one of the best and highest value shaving products on the market (along with proraso and speick) hands down.

> 24 hourI thought I would hate this soap. As some one once said they thought it smelled like an old ladys wet purse. The smell definitely is different, but I love it. Just remember to give this soap plenty of water when building the lather. Tabac is, to me, THE best soap in my arsenal. Very slick with lots of cushion, and leaves your face soft and clean. The ceramic glass bowl is a nice touch that I can appreciate, but the lid is cheap plastic that rests on the top of the bowl. Dont let the price dissuade you, Tabac is worth every cent!
