This stuff smells like Bay Rum without the Boozy Old Man feel about it. It lathers like no other soap I have tried to date and like it so much, that Ill be buying the aftershave too. The seller was great, it came in very quickly and you get a lot of it for the price, so its well worth it. If your into wet shaving, give it a try, its worth it.

As a shaving soap it lathers very easy and provides plenty of lather for multiple passes. Lather is rich and provides a very slick surface for the DE razor. The only thing I don’t like is the scent. The reviews that note that this smells like an old lady are absolutely correct. I think this is something that you may either love or hate.

Whats not to love?! I have tried multiple soaps and creams, and none are on the same level of lather-ability, protection, and slickness as Tabac. To me, the scent is very clean and not overpowering. I have gotten my closest shaves with Tabac, and I will always keep a puck of it around! I will also add that I have extremely sensitive skin (I cant use Cella), and Tabac causes no irritation.

Tabac is the shaving soap by which I will rate all others. It took me a while to get used to the scent, but it grew on me. Smells like an old barber shop. Its not displeasing at all, just different. Tabacs lather is rich and creamy when used with a quality badger brush. It literally explodes if you use a few drops of liquid glycerin with it.

It lathers nicely .. Will last forever and a day .. It just the smell .. Its not terrible .. But just a little ehhhh .. Kinda does smell like an old man barber shop .. Its not too loud tho

What can I say. This is a classic soap. Its very smooth and stays moist on the face a bit longer than my go-to Barrister & Mann Tallow soap. The scent is a bit classic as well. My wife called it an old-man scent, but I use a daily strong scented aftershave tonic that compliments the scent makes the scent a bit more modern. Overall, Id give it a 10/10 for lubrication and smoothness and a 7/10 for the scent. As far as presentation, the bowl is second to none. Its a hefty, well presented white colored glass with brown metal lid.

Like I said this stuff is much cheaper when you buy a refill than the biggest tube of Proraso. Beyond that it is a toss up as to what you prefer. Im not sure how long this stuff will last as a little bit of Proraso lets me shave 2 passes on my head and face.

I now understand why so many people use this as their go-to shaving soap, excellent and easy lather, super smooth for each razor pass.
