Tabac Original By Maurer & Wirtz For Men. Shaving Soap Bowl 4.4 Ounces

I disliked the fragrance. It was the lavender flowery smell that I just couldnt get past. I threw the jar away even though the shave was good.

Good shaving soap, but not as much lubricity as I had hoped. Works well, but Ive tried others like Kiss MY Face shaving cream which lathers bore easily and has much more lubricity to it to make the razor glide over my skin as if there werent a blade in it.

This has a strong fragnance that stays on for the rest of the day, love to shave with this every day

Great shaving soap. Easy to lather even in hard water and the rich lather makes the razor glide by. Tabacs fragrance has a reputation as love it or hate it but I knew from other Tabac products that I would love it.

Lets address the most common complaint with Tabac first, the scent. I love this scent. It smells like an old fashioned barbershop to me with a delightful powdery kick. Admittedly I dont dislike many soaps, but out of all the soaps o do have, which is at least 20, tabac is in the top 5 easy abs probably the topoint 3. With that being said, if you find that you dont like new soaps at times, especially more old fashioned type soaps, Id stay away from this until you can smell it before buying. I keep my bowl of Tabac on my counter at all times because I love to just pick it up and smell it randomly and it looks great sitting there. (Picture provided) As far as the quality of the lather. Its top notch shave soap. We have very hard water here in the Great Basin Desert and this soap lathers up to a superb yogurt like consistency. Im not greedy when I apply it to my face either, I love to apply a thick coat. I use a bowl to lather because it produces so much and it is very fast in getting where it needs to be. Great protection and slickness. Post shave feel is amazing as well. I use the Tabac balm and aftershave as well and my face feels AMAZING all day. The only way you go wrong with Tabac is if you fall in the minority with the scent. It might not be for you, but it sure is one of my favorites.

If you traditional wet shave and lather with a brush, you really should try Tabac. Its a lather monster! super slick and gives a great shave. I have hard water and it still lathers really well. The smell is really light. I wish it the smell was stronger.

Great lather. Slick and cushiony. Some love the scent others hate it. I like it. If it helps get an idea of my scent taste, I like stirlings barbershop, sharp dressed man, caties bubbles LPV and tactical support, taylor of old bond street st james and sandalwood.

I will be brief. This product has many detailed reviews so I will just say this shave soap is the best I have come across. The lather, the scent and the lubrication are all first class. This will definitely be a repeat purchase for me. Try it and you will see.
