    A great shaving cream

I wasnt sure whether I would like it or not, but I love it. I have been using the Sandalwood version for a while and love that scent. And while the peppermint is pleasant and refreshing, I love that it feels like tea tree oil on the skin. Leaves a very nice, refreshing tingle while shaving! I also like that after I rinse, the scent and sensation dissipate. No sense in smelling like a candy cane all day! :)

First time using this type of shave cream. I have always used the gels, but they tend to clog up my electric razor. So I bought a new electric shaver so I thought Id give this a try. Now I know you purist out there dont like electric razors, but Im telling you this stuff works great with electric shavers. Makes a nice lather, has that wake up aroma, and rinses very clean off my face and off my razor. Im sold. And it goes a very long way. One tub will last me six months easy.

Exceptional product. After using Art of Shaving for several years I became annoyed with the lack of inventory and repeated “out of stock” messages. I researched and found this. First, it is a thicker, more solid product. I like this, it keeps me from overusing. A little water on the brush and it’s perfect. It doesn’t take much. Has a great smell and while I can’t say it tingles when used, I do use a pre shave oil. After the shave I do feel the effect of the peppermint. I also sense it when used on areas of my face that have no pre shave oil. Great product. Don’t be confused by the reviews that talk about how hard or solid the product is.

Ive only shaved with it once since receiving it in the mail. However, even with the first try I could already tell how great it was. I had been using proraso for the last year and a half, and as soon as I started using this, it lathered up so much easier, and made a thicker creamier lather than I ever got with proraso. Plus, the peppermint smells so good, and the tingling on my fave felt so nice, and refreshing. Highly recommend to anybody!

I am new to wet shaving and using a DE safety razor. After 2 shaves, the smell of peppermint is wonderful but not overbearing. The tingling sensation is felt on my face and feels nice, which I do not think it is irritating my skin at all. I use this with Proraso pre-shave cream for sensitive skin, Wikinson Sword Classic DE razor blades, alum block afterwards and Nivea post shave balm for sensitive skin. The shaving cream has not dried out for me, like others have stated, and it lathers up well with a bowl & brush. I do want to try other scents from TOBS. ONLY negative as others have experienced: mine was only about half full.

I love the shaving cream! The peppermint obviously acts as a cooling refresher during and after the shave. I do not make a frothy soap with a mug, instead I just wet my hands and take a glob and apply the way one would with shaving cream from a can. I use a safety razor, and blades alongside this shaving cream. I just do not use a brush and mug for my convenience and limited bathroom area. I would recommend this brand, and this scent. I may purchase more in the future, if it continues to do well. :_)

This stuff is FANTASTIC. Excellent lather and an amazing peppermint tingle while you shave. So amazing to use a great product like this. The scent is not as powerful as I had thought but the feeling on your face and the top-notch TOBS lather more than makes up for it. I would give this shaving cream 10 stars if I could. Also, this is my second TOBS shave cream and they are both amazing! Ill be a lifetime customer for sure.

Anything mentholated/minty is typically known to not be the best for people with sensitive skin, but I absolutely *love* the scent of peppermint, so I needed to try this out. I ended using this practically every single time I shaved since there was no irritation and the shave was close. The scent is incredible too, needless to say. Again, peppermint isnt the best for sensitive skin, so if you do have incredibly sensitive skin that has already shown to be easily irritated by menthol, perhaps try the sensitive skin line of the Taylor of Old Bond Street instead.

I love peppermint washes and creams and this shave cream surely does not fall short in letting you know you are in fact shaving with a peppermint cream through scent and sensation. It has the warming sensation that typically accompanies peppermint, a nice little morning wake me up in addition your coffee. It also coats and lathers extremely well especially compared to Proraso creams. You only need to dab just the tiniest amount on your brush to get it going after wetting the brush. It is not however as gentle and nourishing as Proraso creams as it does leave one of those slightly sticky films on your skin that will linger unless you treat with a moisturizing cream thereafter. Overall, a great shave soap/cream option to add to your wet shaving repertoire.
