> 3 dayIMO Taylor of Old Bond Street makes some of the best shave cream products on the market. The Peppermint scent is one of my favorites, but I have tried many of them and there are few I would not re-order.

> 3 dayWow, there is so much I want to say about this product that I find it hard to begin, so lets start at the beginning... I got into traditional wet shaving about 6 months ago, I finally got tired of paying ridiculous amounts of money for multi blade cartridges that, while they did their job rather well, would only last me for 8 or maybe 10 shaves at the most. that is because I have a very hard, coarse and thick beard, and because of my job I have to be clean shaven every day. So, after reading and watching some videos about wet shaving on youtube, I decided to go to my local Target store ( I live in San Diego, Ca.) and got myself a van der haagen butterfly open safety razor, some blades, and a van der haagen shaving kit that included a shaving bowl, a badger hair brush and a shaving soap... I immediately noticed a great difference compared to the cartridges, I got a very close shave with minimal irritation, and, making my own foam with the brush and shaving soap really was a great experience, and, compared to the canned stuff I was using before, the soap felt very different in a great way. That soap lasted for about six months, I came to amazon looking for a shaving cream (looked for shaving cream in Target but they do not carry it) and decided to give Taylor of Old Bond Street peppermint shaving cream a go after reading some reviews, I also got a tub of Proraso sandalwood pre shave cream... and after coming out of the shower, I wetted my face with hot water, rubbed a bit of the Proraso pre-shave cream, took my brush and just got a litte bit of TOBS cream on the tips and started making lather on my shaving bowl... and the results where AMAZING!! Just a litte bit of cream on the tips of my brush created more than enough thick, rich, warm, creamy lather with a fantastic, delicious smell, I applied it to my face and it just felt great, again, the smell was intense and fresh and delicious and, at least to me, the combination of that scent and the sweet woody and earthy scent of the Proraso pre-shave cream was just fantastic, when applied to my face, it felt like cream and I felt the invigorating kick of the peppermint. The difference between this cream and the soap I was previously using is enormous, and, compared to the canned stuff I was using for 20 years up to 6 months ago is just... abismal!! I was a bit worried that the scent would be a bit overbearing, or that the peppermint in the cream would be so strong that it would burn my face, but that was not the case, when youre whipping up this stuff and when you put it in your face, the scent is strong without being overbearing and once you are done and you rinse your face, you are left with a little bit of the scent and a fresh feeling. I totally recommend this product, I like it so much, that I will get some for my brothers and for my dad.

> 3 dayThis has a good smell, and decent later. This is the second time I have received it with the plastic tub smashed in shipping.

> 3 dayFirst time using this type of shave cream. I have always used the gels, but they tend to clog up my electric razor. So I bought a new electric shaver so I thought Id give this a try. Now I know you purist out there dont like electric razors, but Im telling you this stuff works great with electric shavers. Makes a nice lather, has that wake up aroma, and rinses very clean off my face and off my razor. Im sold. And it goes a very long way. One tub will last me six months easy.

> 3 dayAnything mentholated/minty is typically known to not be the best for people with sensitive skin, but I absolutely *love* the scent of peppermint, so I needed to try this out. I ended using this practically every single time I shaved since there was no irritation and the shave was close. The scent is incredible too, needless to say. Again, peppermint isnt the best for sensitive skin, so if you do have incredibly sensitive skin that has already shown to be easily irritated by menthol, perhaps try the sensitive skin line of the Taylor of Old Bond Street instead.

16-11-2024Excellent shaving cream. A little goes a long way. I compared this to the Art of Shaving brand and this is a much better value. Larger container/same consistency/excellent fragrance.

> 3 daySimply the best! The scent is more towards peppermint candy than peppermint leaf. There is a tingle when applied. Nice clean scent but not overbearing. Light enough to pair with most aftershaves. Small amount lathers excellent with enough slick. Highly recommend.

Greater than one weekGreat shaving cream! My first shaving cream purchase was from Taylor of Old Bond Street but the Sandalwood scented version. Eventually I ran out of the sandalwood cream, so I decided to try out the Peppermint scented version. I have to say that I enjoy the peppermint version more than the sandalwood. It is obvious that it smells like peppermint, but (and I may sound weird for saying this) it feels like peppermint. I shave with double-edged safety razor, so ideally I wet shave. When I was lathering my face with this cream all was normal, until bang! My face began to tingle. You could feel the peppermint. So if you have sensitive skin, maybe try another scent. I love this companys shaving cream because its good for your face, and a lot goes a long way.

> 3 dayThis is the only brand of shaving cream that I use. It works perfectly with a DE razor, and you only need a tiny bit to work into a rich lather. This was my first time using the Peppermint variety and it was really refreshing. The scent is exactly as youd expect but not overpowering. Gives you a bit of that tingling feeling as well. Not much else to say - if you havent tried this brand yet, go for it - you will not regret it.
