Taylor of Old Bond Street Peppermint Shave Cream (5.3 oz)

> 3 dayTaylors makes some of the best shave cream out there. Performs well, lathers easy, very high yield per gram of the soap. I think the price is well-considered, and the packaging adequate to the task. The face feel of this peppermint soap has a nice cooling, mentholated sensation, and the cream base performs as expected for this brand. My only qualm is that the smell of the soap is a little chemical. When the cap first comes off, it almost smells like something you expect in a doctors office. This goes away as it lathers, and the true mint smell comes to the fore, but it can be a slight turn off.

> 3 dayThis is my first outing with this brand and Im very pleased. Great scent and a just a little tingly on the skin, I assume due to the peppermint oil. Although, just enough to be a pleasant sensation. I cant imagine it would even bother those with sensitive skin. Id definitely purchase this again.

> 3 dayI’m not sure why this is considered for sensitive skin but the shaving cream lathers well and has a great smell. The blade slides over it easily and leaves an excellent shave. I use feather blades with an aggressive Muhle razor. This is a great shaving cream. I’m not sure what the negative reviews were expecting but this is a great product.

> 3 daySublime and very natural peppermint scent, great feel on the face while shaving and afterwards. Classic Old Taylor thick and generous lather, too. Makes shaving a real pleasure and never a chore.

> 3 dayAlways been a big fan of Taylor of Old Bond Street products. This stuff is great. Word of caution: you only need to apply a very small amount to your brush! A small dip will turn into a massive amount of lather -Easily lathers up into a smooth, creamy lather -Feels great on skin, produces a cooling sensation -As with all Taylor of OBS shaving creams, gives you a great shave

> 3 dayI am new to wet shaving and using a DE safety razor. After 2 shaves, the smell of peppermint is wonderful but not overbearing. The tingling sensation is felt on my face and feels nice, which I do not think it is irritating my skin at all. I use this with Proraso pre-shave cream for sensitive skin, Wikinson Sword Classic DE razor blades, alum block afterwards and Nivea post shave balm for sensitive skin. The shaving cream has not dried out for me, like others have stated, and it lathers up well with a bowl & brush. I do want to try other scents from TOBS. ONLY negative as others have experienced: mine was only about half full.

> 3 dayIm a long time user of TOBS cream, tried maybe a half dozen varieties and after a few shaves think this might be my favorite. Its got a great tingle to it, not too much but very refreshing. Give it a try. My second favorite is probably the avocado scent.

> 3 dayI bought the peppermint variety of TofOBS shave cream. The reviews made it sound as if the old way of doing business is far better than the canned shave cream. I am not seeing it. Ill give them the post shave cooling effect was good. But other than that, the can is far better. Using shave creams adds 5 steps to the ritual. And creates a much bigger clean up effort. I will finish off this tub then return to canned shave cream. Write it off as a bad idea listening to a group of over zealots. Maybe I can use the bowl for small breakfasts. And Ill use the brush to dust off my defunct manual toothbrushes. Good luck with yr decision.
