Taylor of Old Bond Street Peppermint Shave Cream (5.3 oz)

Years back I got into shaving with a straight razor because I have sensitive skin and shaving made my one I break out. And I tried lots of shave soaps. No really. Lots. Taylor of old bond st - everything they make- smells amazing. A smoother shave than most. And clean skin after. The peppermint I thought would be refreshing coming off a cold winter and with spring rolling around. I wasn’t wrong.

This is the only brand of shaving cream that I use. It works perfectly with a DE razor, and you only need a tiny bit to work into a rich lather. This was my first time using the Peppermint variety and it was really refreshing. The scent is exactly as youd expect but not overpowering. Gives you a bit of that tingling feeling as well. Not much else to say - if you havent tried this brand yet, go for it - you will not regret it.

Im a huge TOB fan and have used them exclusively for years. I think they lather the best out of any brand Ive experienced. Ive tried almost every scent and really can only get along with a few of them (sandalwood, almond) and dislike most of them. This scent is on the dislike list. It doesnt smell like real peppermint but rather a laboratory recreation, which it probably is. Im moving away from TOB because its getting too expensive for me, but I still stand by that they are the best if you can afford it.

Love the lather and the smell of this stuff!! I use many different products as I like to change things up almost every morning. This one is one of my favorites!!

Great product. Smooth skin and makes your skin shine. Smells great on skin, tingles. Creamy and a little goes a looong way. Large volume so it will last a long time before running out. This is literally the best shave cream I’ve EVER used in the 40 years I’ve been shaving. Couldn’t be happier with with product. Finally..,,,,

First time using this type of shave cream. I have always used the gels, but they tend to clog up my electric razor. So I bought a new electric shaver so I thought Id give this a try. Now I know you purist out there dont like electric razors, but Im telling you this stuff works great with electric shavers. Makes a nice lather, has that wake up aroma, and rinses very clean off my face and off my razor. Im sold. And it goes a very long way. One tub will last me six months easy.

I have used this product in various fragrances for several years. To me it seems better and better value than the Art of Shaving equivalent product i was using prior.

Smell is the strong and lathers great. I wouldnt recommend as a daily use cuz its pretty minty, unless thats your thing. I bought this for hubs for fathers day & used it myself to shave my legs. So tingly and love how it lathered! My legs were friggin smooooth! Yes, ladies can use this too!!

Always been a big fan of Taylor of Old Bond Street products. This stuff is great. Word of caution: you only need to apply a very small amount to your brush! A small dip will turn into a massive amount of lather -Easily lathers up into a smooth, creamy lather -Feels great on skin, produces a cooling sensation -As with all Taylor of OBS shaving creams, gives you a great shave

This is the first shave cream that I have bought. I have subsisted on shave SOAPS until now. However, I am thoroughly pleased with the results of this cream. It has a wonderfully peppermint-y scent that does not cross over into smelling medicine-y like some other soaps or creams. It also does a great job of moisturizing and protecting my face while proving a smooth shave surface for my DE razor. Just a little bit (an amount about the size of my pinky nail) works for a whole shave, so this tub will last months! One side effect, that I dont mind at all, is the cool sensation that it puts on your face. Almost like a menthol feel. I think it feels great, but wanted to make sure that other knew ahead of time. PROS: Great product with a great scent! CONS: Some might not like the cooling menthol feel. Final Say: Definitely no hesitation in recommending this product to any wet shaver.
