Greater than one weekI would highly recommend this product, but the price is a bit steep! If you want to protect your camera gear from damage to the INPUTS, this is definitely A MUST HAVE PROTECTION item! The only downside I can see is if someone did accidentally pull or tripped on the cable, your entire camera could come crashing down to the ground with the cable. The cameras INPUT would not get damaged, but the entire camera could. So, you really have to have a fast reaction to catch your gear if the cable is pulled with any force. Otherwise, a nicely engineered little accessory for those cable accidents.

> 3 dayWhen shooting 200+ individuall kids at a school , time is very important . You cant have an equipment malfunction and the tether gives you a sense of relief that the cords plugged in for an ac adaptor or other function are secure

Greater than one weekI wasnt sure how Id like this but it does secure the laptop and safeguards it from getting accidentally pull off the table. Instructions are a little vague but I figured it out.

Greater than one weekThis is a must have for any photographer if you have a tethered setup. If you dont you will damage your USB port eventually. It is also perfect companion for any USB capable device.

> 3 dayIts great at protecting the tether cable from being jerked out while Im shooting and yet its so small that I just leave the connected part of the support on my camera when Im not shooting tethered. The quick release feature allows me to remove the tether cable and keep the base of the support still on my camera... ready for when I need to shoot tethered. I like to shoot landscape format so no issues with the cable getting in the way...

> 3 dayThe wireless transmitter from Canon works wonderfully...if it wasnt so expensive and bulky. So I tether to the computer by USB when shooting in the studio. The downside is that the micro usb end connected to the camera is frequently getting bumped which interrupts the connection and shuts down the EOS shooting software. It only takes 10 seconds to reseat the connection and restart the program. When it happens every few minutes however; what a pain. And when the client is paying by the hour they really dont like to see me fighting with the equipment rather than getting the shots theyre after. A friend recommended this gadget, and for the price, I am very glad to have it in my kit. Its super simple to install, to use, and isnt permanently attached to your camera or your computer. The only downside is that the computer end will take up two USB ports on your computer; one for the usb sync cable and one for the tether. My computer side connection has never had a problem so I havent been using the computer side tether...in order to leave my USB ports open for other accessories and card readers. It also has a quick disconnect from the camera which is great if you need to grab the camera off of the camera stand in a hurry. Actually, the tether seems to work pretty well when just walking around with the USB attached to the camera as well. I still bump the cord and lose connection a few times a day in 10 to 12 hours of shooting. It never just drops connection when I move the camera anymore though so thats a huge plus. I have used the camera and tether together for about 1500 hours of shooting so far and maybe the USB port on the camera is looser than it used to be which is why this tool doesnt work perfectly for me and the connection sometimes is loose. Im still hoping Canon or an accessory maker will come up with a boot of some sort to hold the connections snug in the ports for completely error free connections. For what it is, and for the price, youll be happy you have this. Maybe I just need a larger studio space so Im not bumping into it all the time.

Greater than one weekThe USB connector works great, but Im nervous Ill tweak my computers USB drive that it uses to secure it. The camera connector is too loose at the 2-pronged clip and it unclips often with only minor tugs which defeats the purpose of a strain relief.
