It just doesn’t key cable in camera.

I should have ordered two as I have two cameras. Do not have to worry about damaging the usb port on the camera and very easy to hook up.

Simply put, the Jerkstopper is an effective and rather inelegant solution to a real problem in tethered photography. For those of you who dont know, tethered photography involved photographing with your camera connected directly to a computer or some mobile device. Generally speaking, it is used so that real-time results can be seen on a big screen whether its to help the photographer get a better view of a shot, help relay information to a model to show them what youre getting, or to show clients whats happening in real-time. While there are wireless solutions now, wired tethering is still the industry standard as it is much faster and more reliable. The problem with wired shooting, however, is that youre.... well, wired. Walk around with a cable attached to you and youre likely to run into all sorts of common problems associated with cables. Cables snag on things. Cables detach. No matter how careful you try to be, youre eventually going to run into a situation where a cable is forcibly removed from the device its attached to. In the case of a camera, this is a problem because this detachment can damage the port that the cable connects to which can be very expensive to repair. The Jerkstopper is designed to prevent this from happening by relieving the stress from the connection itself in the event of a snag and transferring it over to a camera strap eyelet, which is far better designed for such events. The concept has been proven and it works. My 1-star off is due to the fact that I think that this product is overpriced for what amounts to plastic and string as well as the fact that I think that it could have been designed a bit better. I dont like having to loop the string part through the eyelet when they could have just incorporated something that easily snaps on and off the eyelet as needed. This is not so much an issue for people who keep their cameras in-studio, but I use the same camera in and out of the studio and its always a choice between having an unnecessary annoyance dangling from my strap eyelet or constantly undoing and redoing the Jerkstopper from it.

A must if your tethering your camera to a laptop with a USB cable. Easy to use and clamps right on to the cable.

The support does the job well but for a price. I believe it is way over priced at $16 each.

Great concept but the cap portion that goes over the cable is brittle plastic and breaks in half easily. This is a known defect, however seller does not offer a replacement for this piece which should cost just pennies to produce. When compared to a nice, full-sized camera strap that employs similar components, this product is laughably over priced. Other products from this company seem well designed, manufactured, and reasonably priced.

I have 3, since it saves the dslr jack from bending it is too pricy.
