I got this item last month and it works great. I use a USB cable into my Nikon D300 and this little guy protects my camera and cable. No more busted ports or bent cables! I love the quick disconnect feature which makes using it a snap. Inexpensive insurance. Highly recommend.

This is a must have for any photographer if you have a tethered setup. If you dont you will damage your USB port eventually. It is also perfect companion for any USB capable device.

For such a small, and relatively simple device, it seems a bit pricey. But in a professional situation (like recording to an external device via HDMI, or switching a live stream), knowing that you have a solid connection that wont easy pull out, or slowly fall out is well worth the money. I have 4 of them and have not had any issues.

I use an a7sii on a Ronin-M gimbal with an Atomos monitor/recorder on top. Ive used many different types of cables from the camera to Atomos and all of them have blinked out and cut the feed for a few frames every once and awhile when Im doing some crazy Ronin work. Figured the weak point was the microHDMI on the camera, and I was right. Once I installed the JerkStopper I have not once had the signal cut. Well worth it.

Bought this for my Canon 5D MK III. When I shoot interior architecture I use my laptop and run mini usb from camera to laptop and control camera from laptop. Bought this tether to protect the USB on the camera from getting pulled on in the even the cable was pulled. The portion that attaches to the cord is too large and will not hold the cable. Even at the fully clamped position, the cable freely slides through the clamp and does not provide any protection. I am using the standard issue Canon USB cable. This will not provide any Jerk Stopping as designed. Tried to return but was outside the time frame. When I bought this I didnt have a photo shoot scheduled; by the time I tried it my window had expired. This is Worthless to me.

A must have when using tethering cables.
