> 3 dayThis is a must have for any photographer if you have a tethered setup. If you dont you will damage your USB port eventually. It is also perfect companion for any USB capable device.

Greater than one weekIm going to be blatantly honest and I dont like knocking something like this because its a good idea but it falls short. The 2 sections clips into each other (1 camera side and 1 cable side) the issue is that not 2 days after I put it on my camera I noticed the cable side was missing, I found it in my studio on the floor but its the downfall for me with this product, it isnt secure, the clip will fall out easily. A possible redesign and it could make it all the way up to 5 stars because in general its a good concept.

> 3 dayI should have ordered two as I have two cameras. Do not have to worry about damaging the usb port on the camera and very easy to hook up.

> 3 dayThe computer portion of this product is supposed to fit into a USB to jerkstop it from leaving a computer and it doesnt even fit in a laptop. The camera portion works fine. But save your money and look for a more affordable package with just the camera stopper.

> 3 dayThe wireless transmitter from Canon works wonderfully...if it wasnt so expensive and bulky. So I tether to the computer by USB when shooting in the studio. The downside is that the micro usb end connected to the camera is frequently getting bumped which interrupts the connection and shuts down the EOS shooting software. It only takes 10 seconds to reseat the connection and restart the program. When it happens every few minutes however; what a pain. And when the client is paying by the hour they really dont like to see me fighting with the equipment rather than getting the shots theyre after. A friend recommended this gadget, and for the price, I am very glad to have it in my kit. Its super simple to install, to use, and isnt permanently attached to your camera or your computer. The only downside is that the computer end will take up two USB ports on your computer; one for the usb sync cable and one for the tether. My computer side connection has never had a problem so I havent been using the computer side tether...in order to leave my USB ports open for other accessories and card readers. It also has a quick disconnect from the camera which is great if you need to grab the camera off of the camera stand in a hurry. Actually, the tether seems to work pretty well when just walking around with the USB attached to the camera as well. I still bump the cord and lose connection a few times a day in 10 to 12 hours of shooting. It never just drops connection when I move the camera anymore though so thats a huge plus. I have used the camera and tether together for about 1500 hours of shooting so far and maybe the USB port on the camera is looser than it used to be which is why this tool doesnt work perfectly for me and the connection sometimes is loose. Im still hoping Canon or an accessory maker will come up with a boot of some sort to hold the connections snug in the ports for completely error free connections. For what it is, and for the price, youll be happy you have this. Maybe I just need a larger studio space so Im not bumping into it all the time.
