> 3 dayHi - I dont typically leave product reviews but Ive been so impressed with this vacuum! I have a 1200 square foot apartment with vintage and delicate hardwood floors. Id been looking for a vacuum for a while that I can use on the hardwood without harming it. The hardwood floor attachment on this vacuum is perfect. Also, I cant say enough about how handy it is to have a lightweight cordless vacuum. No cord or plug-ins to worry about. You just pick this up and go - almost as light and easy as a broom. And, unlike a broom, this vacuum gets ALL the dust. Previously I was sweeping my whole apartment weekly and mopping it once a month - and I still constantly had dust and dirt on the floors. With this vacuum I can clean all the floors and rugs in about 30 minutes once or twice a week, and I plan on mopping only about once every 6 months (except the kitchen and bathroom - which I still mop weekly). If you live in cold climates and need to clean the snow salt off your entry way rugs every day - this vacuum also does the trick. Again, its just as quick and light as a broom. You can grab it and clean your entryway rugs in just a couple of minutes. The battery charge really does last 40 minutes. The different attachments all come on and off easily, and the vacuum easily converts into a hand-held vacuum thats great for couches, benches, chairs, etc. The only downside for this particular model is that the handheld function isnt particularly great for vacuuming up dust on solid furniture (such as dressers or shelves), but thats best done with a damp rag anyways. I was nervous about making such a large purchase and worried that it wouldnt actually work very well, but this turned out to be a good purchase.

> 3 dayThis is easy to put together and works well. I dont think it has the suction for a really heavy mess, but all in all, I love it. What surprised me is how really quiet it is. At first, I thought it wasnt working. This is a winner.

> 3 dayThis is a great beautiful esthetically pleasing vacuum. Very convenient for a mother of 2 with 2 doggies. It picked up a whole bunch of nasty dirt and dust and hair that has probably been sitting in my living space since I moved in. It works great on carpets (shaggy ones too) and it is just so easy to go and vacuum effortlessly. The air even smells cleaner. The only reason why I took off a star was because of the battery life it does not last 40 min like Tineco advertises. I know that they sell extra batteries but I dont want to spend another $100 dollars on another battery. I have until January to decide if this is going to be a deal breaker for me.

> 3 dayTL;DR: Bought on sale cyber monday, shouldve bought a spare battery then. Go ahead and get a spare battery for the deeper cleaning days! I can normally cover ~2800sq/ft (hard to guess tbh, not sure how big the downstairs is, but it does account for most of the house, and is mostly tile/hardwood) in 25ish minutes and be fine, but if Ive been lazy and the cats have been shedding, one battery wont quite make it (but itll be close). I really like this vacuum! Other things of note: If you run it wide open (max suction) the battery will last maybe 10 minutes. You do not need to do this however unless the situation calls for it. let it decide. You need to clean the dust filter often (This goes for many vacuums, not just this one), I normally do it after every full-downstairs vacuum because it comes with a spare, and itll normally be dry by the time I want to use it again. Takes about 1 minute total to clean, so theres no reason not to do this. Thats it. Its a great vacuum for what I wanted it for, light to medium duty frequent use so I dont have to bust out the plug-in dyson and drag that thing all over the place. For carpet heavy environments, you want something plug-in period, this is not a great main unit for a carpet heavy environment. For all hard floors it would be great. We have 3 cats and two small children, so theres always something that needs vacuuming and I wanted a reasonably powerful cordless vac to hit the proverbial high spots, and this more than meets those relatively low requirements. As stated above, I can usually cover the whole downstairs on a single charge, occasionally if theres excessive crud (because someone hasnt been running it regularly) I have to grab the second battery, or if were doing a more deep cleaning around the furniture and pulling stuff out from the wall, it comes in handy (think multiple canister dumpings and what not). Its very easy to break down and clean.. I probably shouldve read the instructions but nah. I have not clogged the dust filter to a point where the vacuum constantly runs in high vacuum mode (this is a complaint I read about from other users), and I keep it clean to avoid that situation. This is something one should do with their corded vacuums as well, as it greatly cuts down on the available power if neglected (and causes a higher instance of dust circulation rather than capture). The included tools are mostly helpful for the situations that require them, not much else to say there. I dont see the point of the dust filter cleaner attachment since youd just be clogging up the other filter, instead I wash them by hand in the sink by running water down the middle (backwards), and let em dry til the next use. easy peasy.

Greater than one weekWe’ve resorted to using an old bag vacuum instead of the Tineco one since the Tineco is so prone to clogging with hair and dust (2 long hair dogs, 3 cats). Since our house is mostly carpet, all of these hairs, dust, and crumbs get deep into the low-pile carpet and the Tineco struggles to get them out — mainly because it immediately gets clogged with pet and wife hair. The cleaning process is not as easy as you would hope either. There are lots of sharp edges inside the dust chamber that can be pretty uncomfortable when trying to get clogs out of the nozzle of the gun. I’ve also gotten a few clogs inside the extension tube and the carpet vacuum head itself. All of these require me to stop what I’m doing, take the vacuum apart including the head of the vacuum, remove all the dust and debris manually, and put it all back together again. I’m used to cleaning vacuums every once and awhile, but I’ve never had one that got clogged this much. The “auto-vacuum power” seems to also get confused. Sometimes it will detect the smallest thing and ramp up to full speed, sometimes I’ll vacuum up what seems like a whole bag of bread crumbs and it’ll stay at the lowest suction the entire time. Overall, I’d say this vacuum is probably *decent* if you have hard wood or low-pile carpet with pets that don’t shed… After this review I’m docking another star from the product. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend this to any of my friends and encourage them to buy something stronger instead. ——Original 4 Star Review—— When it first arrived, this vacuum would suck up anything on the first pass. After a few months of use, (cleaning up after four pets) I’ve found that, even when fully cleaned, the vacuum is struggling to pick up things in the carpet or suck up things all the way into the canister. Overall, the charging dock and attachments are amazing. It’s super easy to hang up and charge. All the attachments are easy to replace and get the hard to reach spots with ease (stairs, trim, corners).

> 3 dayI needed a cordless vac for the carpeted stairs in my 4 level condo as well as a mini vac for my car or small cleanups. I read tons of reviews and all seemed to have issues (too heavy or the on/off button had to be manually depressed at all times, for instance). What they all had in common was a short battery life (30 to 40 minutes), and attachments for mini vac needs, furniture, corners, etc. The newest Consumer Reports magazine had just come out and featured vacuum cleaners. The Tineco Pure One-S11 stick vacuum received its #1 rating, so I ordered one. First of all, it looks like something out of a Star Wars movie and is surprisingly light (I weigh under 100 pounds and have no trouble with it). It is also built to twist and turn, so very highly maneuverable when on stairs. It has a lock feature that enables you to leave it on without having to keep depressing the on switch. It also has a high suction feature that runs down the battery faster, but is a great option for deep cleans. It is cleverly put together so can be taken apart easily for clean up, though the instructions were a bit confusing to me initially and I had to rely on my intuitive sense (I am not a big techie - maybe not a problem for most people). Customer service is super nice and go out of their way to help and follow up, if needed. The unit looks big when mounted on the wall and charging, but the extra parts can be stored on the base unit (they click on and off to remove), so out of the way. The filter can be removed after each use and put in a little unit and the vacuum cleans it in seconds - so filter is very easy to clean. I have not purchased a 2nd battery yet, but probably will, along with a long, narrow wand that looks like it might go further into hard to reach places. The charging unit has a place on top that will charge another battery after the one in the unit is fully charged. I couldnt believe what it found on my stairs!! Really a deep clean that made me realize how inadequate my lugging around my corded vacuum was. I think the best feature is that when there is a small amount or light dust, the blue light on the top stays blue - when it encounters more dust/dirt, it turns red, meaning you need to stay on that spot for longer until it goes all blue again - extremely cool and very useful. The only downside is probably not limited to Tineco, but battery life is 30 to 40 minutes and it takes 2 to 3 hours to recharge, and while the clean up is made easier by the filter cleaner, you still need to wipe out the inside plastic components, of which some parts are not that easy to get to. But all in all, I love it and my stairs have never been cleaner! I plan on vacuuming furniture next (couches, etc).

> 3 dayI got the Pure One 15 after my last 2 Dyson cordless V8 & V10 did not have the the value over time I expect at that price. I liked the standing charging dock and that replacement parts/accessories were more reasonably priced. Wirecutter recommends the Pure one, so I decided to try it out. CR no longer recommends cordless sticks bc arent great value over time, but I have LOVED my Dysons in mint condition. I dont think the suction on this compares to my V8, but the battery is probably comparable in run time. The bin is much smaller on the Pure One. It is much quieter than my Dysons have been which is a plus but Id rather louder and vacuum for 3 minutes than quieter and vacuum for 10. On MAX, it is barely more effective than low or auto settings. And it is MUCH much harder to maneuver. Dyson is a zoom zoom and were done, easy breezy experience by comparison. I find I am covering the same territory back and forth and back and forth which is not a big deal in a small space but would drive me nuts in a larger space. But if it lasts as long as my Dysons, it may be acceptable. I kinda like that you dont have to hold the power on but it does save power when pausing. Im not used to clicking it on/off yet when I pause but I can do a daily spin on one charge in my space so it isnt a very big deal. I cannot recommend to Dyson owners, it is heavier, slower, and all around disappointing BUT if you have no comparison and cant or wont spend on a Dyson, many other reviewers seem perfectly satisfied. Currently, the price is same as V8, without comparable loaded accessories from Dyson. I would recommend V8 over the Pure One for the same price. But that could change if this one performs better over time. The standing charging dock was the deciding factor for me on this purchase. I figured knock offs had time to catch up, but this is not what I would consider competitive with a 5 year old Dyson model V8. I will likely return to Dyson on my next purchase having sampled the competition. I feel better about spending on a Dyson, even if it doesnt last as long as it should for the price. The price/longevity is the only disadvantage of the Dysons. I am actually surprised wire cutter selected the Pure One.

> 3 dayVery happy with my purchase ( a Wirecutter’s recommendation) but the battery life is not long enough to last me a few hours without putting it back on the charging station.

> 3 dayI ordered this almost 1 year ago and it’s worked great. Only issue was the rubber stopper at the brush head was broken. I contacted Tineco directly and they sent me a replacement brush head within a week. I sent a photo and no questions asked. Highly recommended!
