> 24 hourIt was such a pleasure to use these ball-tipped scissors to trim the fur on my poodle! I was using my husbands beard trimming scissors (dont worry, he hadnt had a beard in over 5 years) but I was always so worried Id end up poking my poor little dogs eyes! I saw these Scardy Cut pet scissors for a very reasonable price (half the cost of the ones in the pet store) and thought Id order them. Im glad I did. They came nice and sharp, cut through thick poodle fur without tugging and the tips were much safer than the pointy tip scissors I was using. I used them for the fur around the face and between the paws. I highly recommend anyone who cuts their pets fur to order a pair of these ball-tip scissors, for the safety of your pet. Overall, Im very happy with this product and think its a good value.

> 24 hourThese scissors have a nice, rounded tip so I dont jab my little dog when I am trimming out a snarl in his fur. The blades cut well: they have a good fit (not too loose that they dont grab the hair, but not so tight that they bind), so the motion is swift and smooth; and they were inexpensive. Hes a rescue and a little skittish, so its important to have a way to trim him swiftly and safely. Heck, they work just as well on my own head when I find some hairs the barber missed.

> 24 hourThese scissors are perfect! They are small with rounded tips, which makes them easy to use and SAFE! They also make less noise than regular scissors. I needed to trim the long hair around my cats bum and these little scissors did the job nicely. However, be careful and go slow, especially on a fluffy cat! The blades are sharp and carelessness could result in kittys skin getting cut. Go little by little and hold the hair below where you want to cut it (put your fingers between the blades and your cats skin, much like a human hairstylist).

> 24 hourI have had poodles most of my life (allergies) and do my own grooming. I bought these to trim the hair between their pads on their feet and around their eyes. The scissors are very thick and do not easily get into small areas. The hair just slips out of the blades and does not cut. The write up on the scissors said they were designed to hold the hair when you made a cut. Nope, does not work on poodles. UPDATE July 2, 2013: Mr. Matthew Michel of Scaredy Cut did send me a complimentary second pair to try and see if they worked better. I am sorry to say they did not. So Mr. Michel has refunded my money. His customer service has been exemplary! What he does not know is that I am getting ready to send him some of my poodles hair (I groomed her a few days ago) for him to try and maybe he can replicate the problem. Perhaps the scissors need adjusting or I am not using them correctly. I have tried cutting with the micro-jagged edge up and then down (turned the scissors over). I also tried them on my Australian Cattle Dog and his hair slipped out of the scissors, too. (Poodles have different texture hair than most dogs.) I really would like to get these to work because they seem to be well made - they just arent working for me. Others have had great success with them. UPDATE January 13, 2015: Mr. Michel of Scaredy Cut has continued to solve the poodle hair problem with several more pairs of scissors adjusted differently. They most recent scissors kinda worked, but the poodle hair still just slides out of the scissors. Again, poodles (and other dogs such as Portuguese Water Dogs, Labradoodle, etc.) do not have fur - they have soft hair and they do not shed very much (thus, the need for grooming!). Again, the product works well for others - just not for my poodle. The customer service of Scaredy Cut is exemplary and I am not dissatisfied with the service, nor the product; it is just that the scissors dont work for my dog.

> 24 hourThe little black nubby thing that cushions the closing immediately fell off so I rated only 4 stars but the scissors are sharp enough to cut my Maine Coons mats, and they are small enough to not scare him; I can sneak a few snips in before he is aware and freaks out. I like that they have rounded ends that wont hurt my cat. They do a good job and I recommend them for safely cutting out very matted kitty hair.

> 24 hourThese made for much safer hair-trimming around my dogs toes but they got dull after only a few uses.

> 24 hourThis scissors have been a life saver , I have a small shih tzu puppy who is a ball of energy. The hair on her face started to cover her eyes and I have been trying to figure out a way to give her a trim . Well I tired her out and proceeded to trim around her eyes and nose . They were the perfect size for her little face and sharp enough I only had to go over an area one time , I was done before she realized what was going on . I going to buy the full set as I feel these products will make our grooming sessions a pleasurable experience for us both . Give them a try you wont be disappointed.

> 24 hourmy dog abbey a shih tzu , me and my husband like the tiny trim ball tipped small pet grooming tool , it works great on my dogs face , ears, her paws and on toes and between small places on her body . i used it on my husbands eyebrows too and it works better than any other tool i have tried .he dont jerk away and say be careful anymore .. lol . i dont have to worry about cutting or clipping the dogs skin and my husband lets me keep his eyebrows trimmed . they grow really fast and get long and scraggly looking , it also works on my husbands beard . my neighbor used them on her three toy yorkies too and so i got her a pair plus i gave her the whole grooming kit she sees better than i do and so she does her three yorkies and also grooms my shih tzu . saves a bundle of money on getting them groomed .she and i can keep them all up ourselves .at home each time the groomer did the dogs was 30 each so hers would cost 90.for one trip and mine 30.for one trip so with all the things i bought for grooming it really paid for it self in one trip .

> 24 hourMy dog is a toy Poodle, so she has hair, not fur, and she has to be groomed frequently. I’m not a dog groomer, but my little dog is old now and going blind, so she seems to be fearful of being groomed now. So I purchased these scissors to trim around her eyes and mouth in between groomings to help her see a little better (removing some hair covering her eyes) and help her to eat and drink better (trimming around her mouth). These scissors cut the hair very easily and were very safe to use on her face. They were delivered quickly! I definitely recommend them.
