We have two of these we are running in our Armada and Jeep.....a very functional and easy to set up CB that has great/clear quality with loud speaker. If you are running an open top jeep you will need an external speaker though. After owning a couple Cobra CBs, this one is the best by far! My Cobra CBs include the Cobra 19 and Cobra 75...the cobra 19 was not very loud and had issues getting a good SWR with it, whereas the Cobra 75 was an all-in-one hand mic unit but wasnt loud enough to hear anything and when talking most everyone stated I was coming in garbled. For the comparable costs, I wouldnt buy a Cobra again and will stick with Uniden!

Despite the title there is no public address option on this model. Other than that its a great CB for its price.

This is a bare-bones radio, if you just need a radio to get the job done this is it.

Hi I recently purchased for 4 Uniden 510XL CB radios for our 4WD Off-road Club as prizes for our summer raffle. My decision was based on my 4 year personal experience of owning a Pro510XL in my Jeep on Steroids and using it under real world off-road field conditions with no problems what so ever. My fellow club members also always comment how clear my radio transmissions sound to them. FYI I use a tuneable 1/4 wavelength antenna (i.e. firestick). We use CB radio to coomunicate between our vehicles while on the trail, often out of sight of each other and rely on them for safety reasons and emergency communication. With 55+ CB radio equipped off-road vehicles I can unequivocally say that Cobra radios are the worst and often dont last two years. We have about 11 vehicles equipped with various models of Uniden CB radios and I have never heard anyone complaining about theirs. They seem to work all of the time. In my opinion you cant go wrong with a Uniden 510ProXL.Its fool proof and easy to operate without taking your eyes off the trail. Its small size makes it easy to install. I also see that the Radioshack CBs seem to work ok too. Deadbear

This little radio gets the job done for a weekend warrior like me. It is very basic with few features but at this price who cares? It does exactly what its supposed to do and nothing extra. I like it.

Disappointed, these are new models that cant be tuned alot like the older models, You can only get half out of these that you could get outa the older ones.same radio I bought from a guy ,doing 24,this one was aggravating just getting maybe 12.so 12 is not worth it to me.

This cb sounds and receives great, I escort oversize loads all over the USA, so far I havnt had any problems, we talk at ranges up to a mile, everyone says Im loud and clear. I have a single 2 foot firestick antenna mounted on roof of F150

There are great radios of the farm. They work great with new employees because there is only a squelch. We can get up to 10 miles range in the mountains and 20 in the valleys with the right antenna. On out tractors we use the K30, and the firesticks on out trucks for incredible range when properly tuned. K30 Magnetic Base:
