Greater than one weekI get great reception from the small CB radio with awesome range. I use this CB while trail riding in the Colorado Rockies and due to the elevation I have heard guys talking in San Diego California on the border. It has 40 channels so we just went to a higher number, (where many radios dont go), and we were back in business! Its small enough that I mounted it in the center console of my 2013 Wrangler, neat and clean install! Highly recommend this radio!

Greater than one weekBest little low cost CB on the market. Easy install and simple to use. Impressed with the distance it gets out to and it’s durability. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a low cost CB!

> 3 dayMy 510 has a noticeable hum, even with the ANL and squelch set. Hopefully, the road noise will drown it out.....

> 3 dayI got the PRO510XL so I could transfer it between cars along with a magnetic base antenna .I used a cigaret outlet plug on the radios power cord. I also have the PRO520XL mounted in my off road truck . Both radios are the same sizeand also have an outlet for an external speaker but the 520 has an RF gain adjustment, PA switch, and Channel 9 switch. If you dont need the extra options of the 520 then the 510 is the radio for you. It is a compact radio at a good price that doesnt feel cheap. The channel dial has a crisp detent feel when you turn it. The mic. may look cheesy compared to more expensive CBs but its functional and for the price I cant complain too much about it. All in all if you ARENT looking for a Cb with all the bells and whistles then the PRO510XL is for you .

> 3 dayWe have two of these we are running in our Armada and Jeep.....a very functional and easy to set up CB that has great/clear quality with loud speaker. If you are running an open top jeep you will need an external speaker though. After owning a couple Cobra CBs, this one is the best by far! My Cobra CBs include the Cobra 19 and Cobra 75...the cobra 19 was not very loud and had issues getting a good SWR with it, whereas the Cobra 75 was an all-in-one hand mic unit but wasnt loud enough to hear anything and when talking most everyone stated I was coming in garbled. For the comparable costs, I wouldnt buy a Cobra again and will stick with Uniden!

> 3 dayWhen Im traveling down lifes highway on a dark and stormy night, I dont want to worry about if my radio will work or not. I chose this radio because I wanted a cheaper option that would be reliable and last for years. So far, after about a year of use -- its still working great! Uniden has always been a great brand in the CB community, with performance probably a tad bit higher than the Cobras, etc. Although this model DOES NOT have an SWF meter, its small size was my main requirement -- so I used a portable SWF meter (also purchased from Amazon) to tune the radio and my Firestik antenna. No issues at all, and the truckers tell me they can hear me loud and clear when Im traveling down lifes highway!

21-11-2024After reading some of the great reviews I figured I cant go wrong with this one and the other reviews were correct, this thing is perfect. Please dont misunderstand and start with all types of comments about this being a basic radio and it doesnt this or that because that is exactly what I wanted, a good solid, basic radio that I can trust and puts out clear crisp audio and that is what it does. I have done several radio checks and everyone says the same thing, sounds good and clean or very crisp and clear sound or nice strong signal and clean audio and for a basic low cost radio how can you miss. I have this sitting in my Toyota Tundra but its not even mounted, it sits loose between the seat & console rattling around a bit now and again so I dont baby it at all, it takes a fair amount of shacking and rattling but handles it just fine, just fine. I recommend this one for anyone that wants a good low cost radio which will hold up and broadcast when you need it to. Very good selection no matter how you look at it.
