> 3 dayPurchased this for our Jeep JK. It was fitted at the top of the windshield above the mirror. We made a bracket and cut the plastic to snugly fit this into the hole. The mike bracket mounts to the right front side and is out of the way and easy to grab. The speaker is on the bottom so I hear it very well. Looks like a factory install. Great idea for those with Jeep Wrangler JKs

> 3 dayBought this radio to set it up in a work van. Adjusted modulation and while the radio sounds great with the stock mic it would not work with any of the power or echo mics I have. they changed the board in the radio , While a great radio for the price and good to have spare. Not the big talker it used to be.4 Stars you cant beat the price..,.conect a ciggarette adapter to it and keep a spare antenna like a mag mount and slap on any vehicle or a friends car for a road trip.

> 3 dayIn the description it clearly says the 510 has a pa function. Once I received the CB I couldn’t figure out how to use the pa function so I did some research, turns out the 510 doesn’t have a pa function even though amazon’s description says it does. Fix this, I’m considering a refund if anything else on this 510 doesn’t meet my standards

> 3 dayHi I recently purchased for 4 Uniden 510XL CB radios for our 4WD Off-road Club as prizes for our summer raffle. My decision was based on my 4 year personal experience of owning a Pro510XL in my Jeep on Steroids and using it under real world off-road field conditions with no problems what so ever. My fellow club members also always comment how clear my radio transmissions sound to them. FYI I use a tuneable 1/4 wavelength antenna (i.e. firestick). We use CB radio to coomunicate between our vehicles while on the trail, often out of sight of each other and rely on them for safety reasons and emergency communication. With 55+ CB radio equipped off-road vehicles I can unequivocally say that Cobra radios are the worst and often dont last two years. We have about 11 vehicles equipped with various models of Uniden CB radios and I have never heard anyone complaining about theirs. They seem to work all of the time. In my opinion you cant go wrong with a Uniden 510ProXL.Its fool proof and easy to operate without taking your eyes off the trail. Its small size makes it easy to install. I also see that the Radioshack CBs seem to work ok too. Deadbear

> 3 dayI needed a CB radio in my work truck for yard communication, so I went with this. Ive been a truck driver for 24 years, so of course I have a big radio that has been modded, but those require fiddling to get them to work correctly. Now that Im doing local work, I just dont have time to mess around with it. This radio, with an 18 foot coax cable, and a basic Francis fiberglass whip antenna is simple, cheap, and works every time. No hassle at all.
