22-11-2024The included screws for the Mic holder bracket do not fit the holes on either side of the unit. The screws are slightly too big.

17-11-2024This little radio gets the job done for a weekend warrior like me. It is very basic with few features but at this price who cares? It does exactly what its supposed to do and nothing extra. I like it.

> 3 dayJust purchased 2 of them-spent some time installing into a jeep YJ. With a Firestik 4 antenna-broadcasting (Cobra CB in another jeep for listening) the sending quality was great-crystal clear and no muffling. However, RECIEVING was terrible. Sound was low bass and very muffled. Tried both CBs in one jeep, swapped antennas, etc. to make sure it wasnt one or the other. Both units had the same cheap speaker quality, both sent perfectly. You could hear and understand what was recieved but very poorly. For offroading with the top down and engine revving, probably would be hard to hear. But...there is a built in jack for external speakers so we are going to wire it to the dash radio speakers. (there is no radio, so why not!) and that should take care of it. The second one is going in a 2003 jeep rubicon, and I will have a spare speaker for that. Probably $2.99 at Radio shack to get the jack plugs and it will be done!

> 3 dayAfter reading some of the great reviews I figured I cant go wrong with this one and the other reviews were correct, this thing is perfect. Please dont misunderstand and start with all types of comments about this being a basic radio and it doesnt this or that because that is exactly what I wanted, a good solid, basic radio that I can trust and puts out clear crisp audio and that is what it does. I have done several radio checks and everyone says the same thing, sounds good and clean or very crisp and clear sound or nice strong signal and clean audio and for a basic low cost radio how can you miss. I have this sitting in my Toyota Tundra but its not even mounted, it sits loose between the seat & console rattling around a bit now and again so I dont baby it at all, it takes a fair amount of shacking and rattling but handles it just fine, just fine. I recommend this one for anyone that wants a good low cost radio which will hold up and broadcast when you need it to. Very good selection no matter how you look at it.

> 3 dayThis is a great starter radio. Sounds good, LOUD, not a lot of bells and whistles but you get what you pay for. That said, installing was a giant headache. It came with all the hardware and would have been a simple install. However, the wire that goes into the inline fuse holder was pulled out from the factory, just enough that it looked good but didnt make a connection. This inst a hard fix for someone that knows their way around a multimeter, but it was still more challenging than it needed to be. Good news is that it was probably a fluke.

> 3 dayIn the description it clearly says the 510 has a pa function. Once I received the CB I couldn’t figure out how to use the pa function so I did some research, turns out the 510 doesn’t have a pa function even though amazon’s description says it does. Fix this, I’m considering a refund if anything else on this 510 doesn’t meet my standards
