I bought this umbrella in May 2016 so I could take walks at work all through the year. It did its job although sunscreen was still absolutely necessary because of reflection off pavement, etc. In March 2020, because of the pandemic, I started working at home full-time but left the umbrella at work. A few days ago I went to my office to pick up a few things, including the umbrella. When I picked it up from top of the cabinet where it was sitting, it stuck to the surface. The silver coating had deteriorated and the whole umbrella canopy was sticky and leaving a residue everywhere I placed it. I finally put it in a bag and will have to discard it unfortunately. It is sturdy and offered plenty of shade but doesnt last forever. The UV Blocker folks might have fixed this problem by now, dont know.

It protects from the sun, plus it provides a much cooler shading, compared with other umbrellas.

Very well package, seemingly well constructed product. Has embroidered logo on both the case & the umbrella itself. The addition of a shoulder strap to the case is nice because it’s definitely got some weight to it for a “travel” umbrella. It weighs more than twice as much as my standard travel umbrellas, and is bulkier both length and width wise. I did not find it any harder to open and close than any other umbrellas I’ve had, both functions were smooth. As far as shade and sun protection - I tried it out in the Phoenix sun on a 110 degree day in July and it does help, but I would say that making it 15 degrees cooler underneath is an exaggeration. It did seem more effective at absorbing/reflecting the baking heat than my standard umbrella that I was using for comparison, but for the $50 price tag - I should hope so, not as much difference as I’d expected though. I hope it holds up well over time to justify the price tag, because there were more affordable options, but seemed like they may be less durable from reviews.

I live in a desert climate and this umbrella has become a necessity. I use it on my walks, when Im at an outdoor events, and take it with me on vacation to sunny places. Have also used in tne rain and it works perfectly. Also, the temperature is lower when covered by this umbrella. Opens easily and is sturdy. It is a little heavier than a regular umbrella, but the benefits outweigh this. I have been using this umbrella for atleast two years and just bought a second as a gift for a sun-sensitive friend.

I love this Umbrella and highly recommend to anyone seeking protection from sun. I have an 8 month old baby and it has been an invaluable go-to when travelling overseas. It allows me to go anywhere worry free as I always have shade for my little guy. While visiting Greece this has been key for me not missing out on archaeological sites with him in tow.

I have not had a chance to use this yet. it does seem like a great quality but will know how it works when we get back in the end of November. It is a little heavy though for a travel umbrella but we will see

Great umbrella for sun and rain. I had a melanoma and I am extremely protective of my skin. I took a recent trip to Hawaii and brought this umbrella. I kept me protected and cool. I used it everywhere--even in the pool. I even dropped it in the pool and while it sunk to the bottom, it survived without a problem. It also worked in the rain and wind. It is not as compact as some travel umbrellas, but fit in my suitcase.

A great umbrella! I bought this for our family trip to Disneyland when I found it was going to be triple digits there. It was like carrying around my own portable shade. It was very windy when I was there and I had no issues with it blowing inside-out like some people experienced. To maximize the cooling effect I wore a Frogg Togg cooling cloth as well. It is heavier than I expected and the handle feels a little awkward so I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

As a redhead and someone who is scheduled for their third Mohs surgery, I decided that I had to find an ultimate solution to protect myself from the sun in 5000 elevation Arizona sun. I dislike suntan lotions and also wearing hats that cause flat sweaty hair. The umbrella offers almost full-body coverage from the sun and also makes one feel cooler when under intense sun. It is not unduly heavy, for even a petite woman, to carry. It holds up well under winds and the one time it blew inward, I was able to immediately work it back into place. Hopefully no more surgeries for me.

I think the first thing to mention is when you press the button to open it, it pops out with such a force it left my hand! Maybe because I wasnt expecting that. I found it heavy mainly because there isnt a good grasp. I found the handle is insufficient for the force and weight. I returned and ordered their model with a handle...not only is it a bit wider, but is lighter and far easier to handle. I like all the sun blocking attributes and think that company is the best.
