Greater than one weekThought I was going to love this sun umbrella. Appeared to be sturdy. Was a bit smaller than I expected but would have been OK. The handle was so short though, to keep it off the top of my head I had to hold my hand up to the top of my chest. I wanted to use it at the ball park when we have to sit on the bleachers with no shade. I can’t hold my hand up like that for hours at a time so I sent it back. My regular folding umbrella has a handle long enough that I can rest my hands in my lap and hold it. I need a sun umbrella like that. Returned it but considering the larger one to see if the handle is longer on it.

> 3 dayThis was called a travel umbrella, I guess because it has a cover that can be slung on your shoulder by a strap? It is HEAVY. I live in the desert, I need a sun blocker when I walk my dog. After 30 minutes of holding this my hand/arm were very fatigued. It is way too big and way too heavy for a brisk 30 minute walk. I did jot want to buy the smaller umbrella because it had a really cheesy handle. An expensive blunder of a purchase. It did block the sun but impossibly heavy. Not for daily dog walking.

> 3 dayI wasnt sure about spending the money they were asking for to purchase this umbrella. Compared to some others it was a bit pricey. I was particularly interested because of the SPF rating. I was diagnosed with Lupus last year and have found exposure to UV usually nets me hives and itching. Ive been using it for a few months now and the umbrella is worth EVERY PENNY! Its excellent quality. You can tell, it feels sturdy and glides smoothly when opening and closing. It has a button that you press to open. The description said there is a 15 degree difference under the umbrella. Most of the time its too humid to really tell but sometimes its a noticeable difference. Today for instance it was quite pleasant to walk outdoors while walking underneath it. The inside of the car was a different story but the umbrella cant do anything about that. What I really love about it is not worrying about putting a bunch of sunscreen on to walk down to the mailbox or take the garbage out.

> 3 dayI’m pretty happy with this umbrella. It is definitely superior sun protection and it keeps me cool during very hot days. However, I am not satisfied with the closing mechanism. Yes, this is push activated but only to open. To close, you have to pull the neck down and it doesn’t always catch. It can be cumbersome and nuisance. Other then that I am pleased with this umbrella. It is sturdy and does well in the wind for the most part.

> 3 daypros: perfect small sun-blocking umbrella. opens & shuts with ease. quality made and worth the price. i spend waaay too much time in the blinding sun of beaches or snow. i took it to barbados for 3 weeks–this was pretty great and it fit easily in my tote and carry-on. only con: i wish it wasnt an ad billboard with giant lettering on the outside. i dont need a product to shout-out its function.

> 3 dayI like the umbrella and its UV quality protection. The opening mechanism is fast and easy. The frame is very sturdy. It does protect very well against the sun. My only wish is that it was a little more compact to be able to fit in a bag or large purse. As it is is over a foot long when its closed and rather bulky.

> 3 dayVery well package, seemingly well constructed product. Has embroidered logo on both the case & the umbrella itself. The addition of a shoulder strap to the case is nice because it’s definitely got some weight to it for a “travel” umbrella. It weighs more than twice as much as my standard travel umbrellas, and is bulkier both length and width wise. I did not find it any harder to open and close than any other umbrellas I’ve had, both functions were smooth. As far as shade and sun protection - I tried it out in the Phoenix sun on a 110 degree day in July and it does help, but I would say that making it 15 degrees cooler underneath is an exaggeration. It did seem more effective at absorbing/reflecting the baking heat than my standard umbrella that I was using for comparison, but for the $50 price tag - I should hope so, not as much difference as I’d expected though. I hope it holds up well over time to justify the price tag, because there were more affordable options, but seemed like they may be less durable from reviews.

Greater than one weekGenerally, most satisfying. Could be wider, but not a real issue. Only four stars because it doesnt have the push-button retrieve feature that most such umbrellas now have and it takes a serious effort to sock it back in place.

> 3 dayI bought this umbrella in May 2016 so I could take walks at work all through the year. It did its job although sunscreen was still absolutely necessary because of reflection off pavement, etc. In March 2020, because of the pandemic, I started working at home full-time but left the umbrella at work. A few days ago I went to my office to pick up a few things, including the umbrella. When I picked it up from top of the cabinet where it was sitting, it stuck to the surface. The silver coating had deteriorated and the whole umbrella canopy was sticky and leaving a residue everywhere I placed it. I finally put it in a bag and will have to discard it unfortunately. It is sturdy and offered plenty of shade but doesnt last forever. The UV Blocker folks might have fixed this problem by now, dont know.
