> 3 dayA great umbrella! I bought this for our family trip to Disneyland when I found it was going to be triple digits there. It was like carrying around my own portable shade. It was very windy when I was there and I had no issues with it blowing inside-out like some people experienced. To maximize the cooling effect I wore a Frogg Togg cooling cloth as well. It is heavier than I expected and the handle feels a little awkward so I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

> 3 dayI love this unbrella. Now its a little bulky and slightly heavier and not cute like a regular umbrella, but thats because this fabric really does reduce the temperature underneath it. UV concerns are definitely handled, but if youve ever had heat stroke, you also want heat protection, and this umbrella allows me to be out in the heat longer because it helps keep me cool.

> 3 dayLiving in the desert – along with my high-standards – has driven me to continuously step up my game. I love the dry heat but when it comes to baking in the Sun, Im not the one. If youre concerned about maintaining the quality of your skin and/or slowing the signs of aging, this is an amazing investment. I wont ever wear a romper or carry a purse but I WILL keep a quality UV-blocking umbrella in my arsenal for the rest of my life. Ive used this umbrella for the past week and its amazing! Having this along with sunscreen, sunglasses, quality UV-film in your car (all glass – including the moonroof and windshield), wide-brimmed hats, and portable clinging window shades (for the times youre driving or riding in a vehicle without tint) will give you a well-rounded line of defense against the Suns damaging ultraviolet rays. There are several other tips and items that will give you protection as you enjoy your outdoor activities but thats what Google is for! Have fun and make every day special.

> 3 dayI like the umbrella and its UV quality protection. The opening mechanism is fast and easy. The frame is very sturdy. It does protect very well against the sun. My only wish is that it was a little more compact to be able to fit in a bag or large purse. As it is is over a foot long when its closed and rather bulky.

> 3 dayIt does what it says: protects you from the sun. It feels like Im carrying around my own personal tree: nice shade, a bit cooler underneath. The only odd thing is the closing mechanism is a bit stiff. With some umbrellas, you can push it up against a wall to help you close it. This one doesnt work that way. You have to pull it towards you to close it, and its a little hard. I have to use two hands. Its a great umbrella, though. It opens easily, offers great protection and is compact. Id recommend it.

> 3 dayI only gave it 4 stars because it is so ugly - I wish they could make this product with a bit more variety of color. But as far as it working, it works GREAT - you feel much cooler in the hot sun under it and the UV blocker really works, I didnt have to wear SPF on my face at all and I spent a week in Cannes on the beach under this thing and got NO pigmentation on my face. Im very happy! They just need to make it look a bit nicer. Also the straps with velcro that tie it together are too long, so they flap around annoyingly when using. Also, it is not as compact as most umbrellas - so its not ideal for travel.

> 3 dayMy last umbrella lasted my over 5 years. The reason I replaced it was the handle was starting to feel sticky and the silver color on the umbrella had faded. I decided to buy a new one. My new one lasted about 8 months and the button some how got stuck in a slanted position. I emailed the company and they instructed me on how to get a replacement. Since the umbrella was under a year old there was no problem getting a new one. This is the best umbrella I have ever owned. The only thing I would do different is get a bigger size.

> 3 dayBought for trip to Disneyworld in June. Worked very well. A whole week and no sunburn. Afternoon thundershowers every day, worked well in rain too. One day I had brought my golf umbrella also because of all the rain. On the way back to the room, I had both, I opened each one and switched from one to the other. The UV umbrella was at least 10 deg cooler. The wilson golf umbrella blocked sun but was still hot underneath. I have red hair, blue eyes and prone to sunburn and skin cancer. I would highly recommend this product. I bring it with me everywhere I go now.

> 3 dayI like this umbrella a lot. The size, features and sun protection are excellent. But within a few months, the internal closure mechanism failed, and the umbrella can no longer be closed. The supplier doesnt list any contact info for warranty replacement, so the 1-year warranty is worthless. Summary: nice umbrella for short-term use, but it doesnt hold up to real-world usage. Update: I did finally locate the contact info for this company and returned the broken umbrella. The return shipping only cost half as much as buying a new umbrella. Warranty service was excellent! I received a brand-new replacement umbrella within a few days. I am bumping up my rating from 2 to 4 stars for the superb warranty service.
