Greater than one weekThought I was going to love this sun umbrella. Appeared to be sturdy. Was a bit smaller than I expected but would have been OK. The handle was so short though, to keep it off the top of my head I had to hold my hand up to the top of my chest. I wanted to use it at the ball park when we have to sit on the bleachers with no shade. I can’t hold my hand up like that for hours at a time so I sent it back. My regular folding umbrella has a handle long enough that I can rest my hands in my lap and hold it. I need a sun umbrella like that. Returned it but considering the larger one to see if the handle is longer on it.

> 3 dayAs a redhead and someone who is scheduled for their third Mohs surgery, I decided that I had to find an ultimate solution to protect myself from the sun in 5000 elevation Arizona sun. I dislike suntan lotions and also wearing hats that cause flat sweaty hair. The umbrella offers almost full-body coverage from the sun and also makes one feel cooler when under intense sun. It is not unduly heavy, for even a petite woman, to carry. It holds up well under winds and the one time it blew inward, I was able to immediately work it back into place. Hopefully no more surgeries for me.

Greater than one weekI like the umbrella and its UV quality protection. The opening mechanism is fast and easy. The frame is very sturdy. It does protect very well against the sun. My only wish is that it was a little more compact to be able to fit in a bag or large purse. As it is is over a foot long when its closed and rather bulky.

Greater than one weekI’m pretty happy with this umbrella. It is definitely superior sun protection and it keeps me cool during very hot days. However, I am not satisfied with the closing mechanism. Yes, this is push activated but only to open. To close, you have to pull the neck down and it doesn’t always catch. It can be cumbersome and nuisance. Other then that I am pleased with this umbrella. It is sturdy and does well in the wind for the most part.

> 3 dayI was skeptical that the umbrella shielded the bearer from the sun such that it is cooler by 15 degrees under the umbrella. While I didn’t check with a thermometer, this certainly felt true. The umbrella blocks the sun very well and the only drawback is that it is so sturdily built it is almost too heavy and large to be a travel umbrella. I am planning on buying more.

> 3 dayVery good quality, if you need sun protection this is great, it has a strap go you can sling over your shoulder and bring with you in case you need. size is perfect not to big to be in the way . I would of liked the handle to be longer because I would stick it in my belt & let it rest on my shoulder then could have use of my hands. But great for hot out door events for people with medical conditions that are not allowed to be in the sun.

> 3 dayIm finding these UV umbrellas very very useful here on a remote Greek Island!!! The canopy really does reduce heat! And this umbrella in VERY sturdy and well made!!!! Its not as light weight and compact as I would have liked but in reality to get something of this quality and durability it needs to have some weight. Excellent product!!!! I highly reccomend!

> 3 dayWe need protection from the sun--always did but just wising up after some scares--and selected this because it is approved by the Melanoma International Foundation, has high 55 UPF rating, provides venting and is travel size. It is probably a 5-star umbrella but I did rate it a 4 because it is so much heavier and longer and bulkier than any travel umbrella Ive ever had. The material is very substantial, for example, so I will fold it down and attach it closed with the two Velcro closures but I will not struggle much beyond that to get it back into the carrying case. But, really, who cares? This is to protect us from the rays of the sun and it should do a fine job at that. Its protection I should have had and been willing to use years ago.

> 3 dayVery well package, seemingly well constructed product. Has embroidered logo on both the case & the umbrella itself. The addition of a shoulder strap to the case is nice because it’s definitely got some weight to it for a “travel” umbrella. It weighs more than twice as much as my standard travel umbrellas, and is bulkier both length and width wise. I did not find it any harder to open and close than any other umbrellas I’ve had, both functions were smooth. As far as shade and sun protection - I tried it out in the Phoenix sun on a 110 degree day in July and it does help, but I would say that making it 15 degrees cooler underneath is an exaggeration. It did seem more effective at absorbing/reflecting the baking heat than my standard umbrella that I was using for comparison, but for the $50 price tag - I should hope so, not as much difference as I’d expected though. I hope it holds up well over time to justify the price tag, because there were more affordable options, but seemed like they may be less durable from reviews.
