> 3 dayI really love this UV blocker and, in a way, it’s difficult to describe what it does in simplistic terms on paper. In bright high-UV sunlight, the UV blocker blocks out the radiant heat/UV rays. With an inexpensive sun shade, while it blocks out some of the bright light, you can still feel the radiant heat on your skin as UV rays can still penetrate the material. Conversely, the UV blocker is akin to standing under a shady overhang while the intense sun’s UV rays beats down from above. You no longer feel that radiant heat on your skin while under the UV blocker and, while the UV blocker is a bit heavier than a $10.00 sun shade, it does do what it was designed for.

18-11-2024There are so many things that can be improved upon with this UV umbrella, however, the biggest issue is the weight. I purchased a UV umbrella since Ive been diagnosed with skin cancer multiple times. I thought this would be a great addition for when I need to be out in the sun. However, my arm tires quickly from holding this umbrella. Its a lot heavier than any umbrella Ive ever had. Id rather pay more money for you to source lighter parts. The handle is also very awkward to hold and is a bit wobbly. The attached bungie strap also seems ill placed; I typically like to be able to place it around my wrist while I am holding the umbrella to prevent it from blowing out of my hand, but its on the opposite side of the handle. Was there no usability testing?? It is overall bulky. I could look past all of this if it was at least lightweight.

Greater than one weekI had no idea that not all umbrellas could properly protect you from the sun. I have to walk to my job and when I began I had a regular ole rainy-day umbrella and I eventually realized that the sun was slicing right through it. No matter what angle I held the umbrella at I ended up getting hot and sweating. So I went looking for a proper UV umbrella. I needed to nip the heat in the bud. I live in Florida of all places, I have to be mindful of how the sun rays effect me. I bought this one and Ive been really happy with it. It really does keep you cooler and when the wind did become too much only the outer edges flipped up. I was surprised by that. But if it rains? Yikes. I realized that this umbrella keeps the heat - off of your head. Just as it keeps the rain off of your head only. We had one good Fall shower down here and everything below my rib cage got SOAKED. Im 59, to give you a clue on how this will effect someone taller or shorter than I am. I mention all that, not just to give you an idea of how it works it rainy weather, but how it probably functions in terms of keeping the suns rays off of you. Yes, it fits in a messenger bag, purse, or backpack with ease but it really only protects some of you, not all. Beyond that, Ive been happy with purchase.

Greater than one weekExcellent quality product. Rather heavy to carry for any length of time. I took it for a two week trip to Spain and only used it a couple of times. I did like the fact that this one folds up to a reasonable size for travel. I havent tried it in the rain yet but it does the sun blocking nicely.

> 3 dayVery good quality, if you need sun protection this is great, it has a strap go you can sling over your shoulder and bring with you in case you need. size is perfect not to big to be in the way . I would of liked the handle to be longer because I would stick it in my belt & let it rest on my shoulder then could have use of my hands. But great for hot out door events for people with medical conditions that are not allowed to be in the sun.

> 3 dayI love having this umbrella. I always have it in my car, i take it with me on trips or to amusement parks so if we’re stuck in the sun we can get some relief! I love the fact that it blocks out all UV Rays! I highly recommend this to anyone especially if you’ve had skin cancer or have small children! We want to keep their skin protected as much as possible l!

> 3 dayThis sun umbrella appears to be keeping the sun off me. I use it when I take long walks and no matter how strong the sun, I never get a burn. I highly recommend it. But after a while, maybe six months or less the protective coating wears off and you need to get a new, but it is worth the price

> 3 daythis UV-Blocker Umbrella arrived right on time for summer - i had a skin cancer taken off the top of my head a number of years ago; my hair is quite thin; and i know i am supposed to avoid the sun . . . so what is a body to do when its time to walk the dog? I am so glad i ordered this space-age looking (silver) parasol to protect me from those harmful rays. It is my summer security blanket, and i am grateful to have it. It does not pay to take chances with your skin, especially when you can walk cooler - yes! it feels cooler walking beneath it - and you know you are protected from the sun. Great product - glad i stumbled upon it at Amazon!

> 3 dayIts a Bit heavy for me. I’m elederly and not too strong. I wish I could exchange for the small/light one but not sure how to do it... It’s a great umbrella though, wonderful shade and sturdy and so cool underneath.
