pros: perfect small sun-blocking umbrella. opens & shuts with ease. quality made and worth the price. i spend waaay too much time in the blinding sun of beaches or snow. i took it to barbados for 3 weeks–this was pretty great and it fit easily in my tote and carry-on. only con: i wish it wasnt an ad billboard with giant lettering on the outside. i dont need a product to shout-out its function.

I had no idea that not all umbrellas could properly protect you from the sun. I have to walk to my job and when I began I had a regular ole rainy-day umbrella and I eventually realized that the sun was slicing right through it. No matter what angle I held the umbrella at I ended up getting hot and sweating. So I went looking for a proper UV umbrella. I needed to nip the heat in the bud. I live in Florida of all places, I have to be mindful of how the sun rays effect me. I bought this one and Ive been really happy with it. It really does keep you cooler and when the wind did become too much only the outer edges flipped up. I was surprised by that. But if it rains? Yikes. I realized that this umbrella keeps the heat - off of your head. Just as it keeps the rain off of your head only. We had one good Fall shower down here and everything below my rib cage got SOAKED. Im 59, to give you a clue on how this will effect someone taller or shorter than I am. I mention all that, not just to give you an idea of how it works it rainy weather, but how it probably functions in terms of keeping the suns rays off of you. Yes, it fits in a messenger bag, purse, or backpack with ease but it really only protects some of you, not all. Beyond that, Ive been happy with purchase.

I am sales man I used to travel a lot to several tropical areas to promote my company products . I walk in most extremely hot weather ,I sweat like a hill under scorching sun , I purchased similar golf umbrella but the size was to long and was not easy to carry it anywhere ,but this umbrella was very compact size and adequate both size and wight and it kept me walk in the most cruel hot weather as it was in the past impossible to go out ,this umbrella made the things easy , its fine for rain but I fell its designed for heat weather Id prefer to keep this little one for the hot summer and for winter I ll buy extra low budget umbrella for rain and winds .Now outdoor life in the sun become much enjoyment without fear of having sun stroke or heat exhaustion,

I bought this umbrella for a month long trip to Dominican Republic. I was going to do door to door ministry and from the last trip we had taken we were recommended to get an umbrella with UV block. There wasnt many options and I thought this was a bit pricey but I read the reviews and most of them were favorable. I really recommend this product. Its light weight but sturdy, doesnt take up too much space and it works! It even has a holder where you can carry it over your shoulder when not in use. (Helps to not forget it when taking public transportation in DR.) I wouldve loved a colorful pattern or for it to be push button close or less costly but other than that no complaints.

Kept me from burning in the sun.

I’m pretty happy with this umbrella. It is definitely superior sun protection and it keeps me cool during very hot days. However, I am not satisfied with the closing mechanism. Yes, this is push activated but only to open. To close, you have to pull the neck down and it doesn’t always catch. It can be cumbersome and nuisance. Other then that I am pleased with this umbrella. It is sturdy and does well in the wind for the most part.

GREATEST AMERICAN MADE SUN UMBRELLAS For Texas heat. My 2nd one!! Only one I’ll buy. The travel umbrella is wide enough too for sitting out in heat watching grandkids high school and select baseball games. And MADE IN AMERICA!!

You can take it everywhere with you in the car or for Travel. And the compact one is the perfect size for the purse, and you Wont get Hot. I recommend yo have both, Travel and compact. The only con with the compact is that is too hard for me To close it. I need a lot of effort for that. And the con of this Travel one, is the size because is not so compact to fit in the hand bag. If you have both , you can choose in every ocation. Both are helpfull and you stay cold under it.

My last umbrella lasted my over 5 years. The reason I replaced it was the handle was starting to feel sticky and the silver color on the umbrella had faded. I decided to buy a new one. My new one lasted about 8 months and the button some how got stuck in a slanted position. I emailed the company and they instructed me on how to get a replacement. Since the umbrella was under a year old there was no problem getting a new one. This is the best umbrella I have ever owned. The only thing I would do different is get a bigger size.

Very sturdy And well built. I get nothing but shade underneath the umbrella. Sun protection 100% - it’s the reason why I brought it- it does that job!
