Bought 2. Used them at Disney World. NO SUNBURN. And I felt a little cooler when I used the umbrella. Now I keep one in the car for every-day use, as needed for sun and/or rain. I do wish the push-button would close the umbrella, but I can handle closing it the old-fashioned way. P.S. A few people have asked me about them, and where to buy them, including my parents. Its a good product.

Having previously owned a uv ray blocking umbrella from the Breast Cancer Association (that I lost somewhere), I found this umbrella while looking to replace the other. The price was a bit formidable (had to talk myself into buying it) but now that I use it, I find it is definitely a good value for the money. My other umbrella was flimsy compared to this one. This has substantial weight to it and requires a good grip. As others have said, the handle is a bit awkward. But...despite that, I love this umbrella! I like that it has the Melanoma Association approval, a really dependable testimony to the effectiveness of the uv ray blocker. Having an illness that is exacerbated by uv rays, I feel that endorsement gives me confidence the product will work as advertised. Other umbrellas sold on Amazon just say they have uv protection, but with this umbrella, I have no doubt. The claim that it reduces the heat under the canopy by 15 degrees seems plausible to me. I really love the cover with the carrying ropes; it comes in handy. If you are looking for a genuine uv blocking umbrella that is sturdy and delivers what is promised, this is the umbrella you should buy.

I like this umbrella a lot. The size, features and sun protection are excellent. But within a few months, the internal closure mechanism failed, and the umbrella can no longer be closed. The supplier doesnt list any contact info for warranty replacement, so the 1-year warranty is worthless. Summary: nice umbrella for short-term use, but it doesnt hold up to real-world usage. Update: I did finally locate the contact info for this company and returned the broken umbrella. The return shipping only cost half as much as buying a new umbrella. Warranty service was excellent! I received a brand-new replacement umbrella within a few days. I am bumping up my rating from 2 to 4 stars for the superb warranty service.

GREATEST AMERICAN MADE SUN UMBRELLAS For Texas heat. My 2nd one!! Only one I’ll buy. The travel umbrella is wide enough too for sitting out in heat watching grandkids high school and select baseball games. And MADE IN AMERICA!!

This umbrella is clearly a higher quality than the cheaper brand I purchased last year (which only lasted a year) The skeleton is sturdy, the fabric is resilient, the venting is fortified. The size is perfect for one person, barely wider than my shoulders, so I can walk down a crowded street no problem. I attached my own shoulder strap because I find the slip case too much to deal with. The only thing that could be better is that its a little cludgy to close. The first one I bought (I believe it was this brand) closed with the same button that opened it, much easier than this version. Sadly, I left that one on the bus! Hopefully whomever found it recognized it for the treasure that it is.

this UV-Blocker Umbrella arrived right on time for summer - i had a skin cancer taken off the top of my head a number of years ago; my hair is quite thin; and i know i am supposed to avoid the sun . . . so what is a body to do when its time to walk the dog? I am so glad i ordered this space-age looking (silver) parasol to protect me from those harmful rays. It is my summer security blanket, and i am grateful to have it. It does not pay to take chances with your skin, especially when you can walk cooler - yes! it feels cooler walking beneath it - and you know you are protected from the sun. Great product - glad i stumbled upon it at Amazon!

I recently ordered and received this umbrella in only 2 days time. I used it twice on long hikes in the hot Arizona sun. It was fantastic! Its large enough to provide plenty of shade and kept me much cooler, as others have said. I couldnt believe it would make such a difference in shade from the sun. Im a fair skinned redhead. I will get a lot of use from this umbrella.

I love this Umbrella and highly recommend to anyone seeking protection from sun. I have an 8 month old baby and it has been an invaluable go-to when travelling overseas. It allows me to go anywhere worry free as I always have shade for my little guy. While visiting Greece this has been key for me not missing out on archaeological sites with him in tow.

I’m a PE teacher and I can’t stand in the sun all day. Once the kids know what to do I can walk around with this, so I’m not frying all day outside with no shade. It totally block sun and is a great size but it is heavier than I thought. Still worth it though.

It protects from the sun, plus it provides a much cooler shading, compared with other umbrellas.
