Took this on a trip to Disney World in August, it was HOT... I dont do well in the heat. It certainly saved me from baking to death in the sun. Dont get me wrong, it was still hot, but I was able to find relief in the shade this baby provided. Also, my fair skin did not get sunburned. The only thing I would change is that this is a bit heavy so it did get a little tiresome to carry all day. However, the wrist strap did help somewhat. Its sturdy and operated perfectly each and everyone of the 100 times I opened and closed it that trip. I would recommend this umbrella to everyone!

this UV-Blocker Umbrella arrived right on time for summer - i had a skin cancer taken off the top of my head a number of years ago; my hair is quite thin; and i know i am supposed to avoid the sun . . . so what is a body to do when its time to walk the dog? I am so glad i ordered this space-age looking (silver) parasol to protect me from those harmful rays. It is my summer security blanket, and i am grateful to have it. It does not pay to take chances with your skin, especially when you can walk cooler - yes! it feels cooler walking beneath it - and you know you are protected from the sun. Great product - glad i stumbled upon it at Amazon!

GREATEST AMERICAN MADE SUN UMBRELLAS For Texas heat. My 2nd one!! Only one I’ll buy. The travel umbrella is wide enough too for sitting out in heat watching grandkids high school and select baseball games. And MADE IN AMERICA!!

Excellent quality product. Rather heavy to carry for any length of time. I took it for a two week trip to Spain and only used it a couple of times. I did like the fact that this one folds up to a reasonable size for travel. I havent tried it in the rain yet but it does the sun blocking nicely.

I live in a desert climate and this umbrella has become a necessity. I use it on my walks, when Im at an outdoor events, and take it with me on vacation to sunny places. Have also used in tne rain and it works perfectly. Also, the temperature is lower when covered by this umbrella. Opens easily and is sturdy. It is a little heavier than a regular umbrella, but the benefits outweigh this. I have been using this umbrella for atleast two years and just bought a second as a gift for a sun-sensitive friend.

This is a well-made umbrella that is lightweight and easy to open and close. Here in Hawaii, where the UV index regularly passes 10, the sun is strong and hot. This umbrella not only is blocking UV, it also keeps me much cooler when walking around on a sunny day. Very satisfied with this purchase!

I love the weight and feel of this. Weight indicates quality to me. And it comes with a carrying case with a strap that can be worn like a backpack. It is comfortable to hold and I felt absolutely protected vs. not having it. I tend to undo the velcro starts and hold the frame from the inside, keeping it ready to open at a moments notice. A word of caution: Most people walking wont have umbrellas, and this is a pretty wide one. Be careful not to poke anyone. In terms of people staring because you have an umbrella on a sunny day? Are we in grade school? So what?! Check out my pic of the indoors use. It protects me from a glaring sun while working at home too.

Did a heat test on a 95° day. From underneath the UV Blocker temp was 105° the standard black Umbrella was 142° these temperatures were read after Umbrellas sat in sun for 15 minutes. Dropped 1 star because mechanism in handles need to be built out of something other than plastic. 2 Umbrellas broke after only a couple of months of use.

This umbrella is clearly a higher quality than the cheaper brand I purchased last year (which only lasted a year) The skeleton is sturdy, the fabric is resilient, the venting is fortified. The size is perfect for one person, barely wider than my shoulders, so I can walk down a crowded street no problem. I attached my own shoulder strap because I find the slip case too much to deal with. The only thing that could be better is that its a little cludgy to close. The first one I bought (I believe it was this brand) closed with the same button that opened it, much easier than this version. Sadly, I left that one on the bus! Hopefully whomever found it recognized it for the treasure that it is.
