> 3 dayWonderful video bóx, its Powerful for different old devices, as vcr, camcorder, Betamax, turntable. Etc, and the software its great, and can récord from turntable too for music mp3 files. Was the best choice I did, the video editor its soné kind basic, but you can capture your video in Mpg format, export to Avi or MP4 and can handle with another video editor as Camtasia, or Sony Vega

Greater than one weekEasy to install. It allows us to take family VHS tapes and convert them to .wmv files on our Windows PC. You can create DVDs but I have not done this yet, as I want to edit the .wmv files for content (45 minutes of a football game needs to be shortened to about 10 minutes!) MUCH cheaper than taking them to commercial converters! My feeling is that DVDs will age out over time and as long as I have the .wmv I can edit them with PC software over time.

> 3 dayI have been pleased with this product. I had no issues connecting or installing the software to my computer. I have been able to edit my videos and add titles. I am far from being tech savy and found this to be easy to grasp. The process does take time, but for the cost I have converted over 20 vhs tapes to dvd. The quality of the new dvd has met my expectations and is fine for what I want. It sure beat $20 a tape to send them away.

> 3 dayI bought this software 2 weeks ago for my Windows 10 machine and so far, things are working great (almost). I had trouble downloading the software. I wasnt able to download through the CD, so then used the website. Because it still wouldnt download, at least I thought I didnt, I was ready to return this. Then I tried again, and it was perfect. I dont even know what I did, but it is now working great. I was not able to playback on Windows 10 because of the file, but it appears if I use the Jpeg file, it would playback, however I was able to playback on my old laptop and the TV DVD. Im still working on that. Its always a trial and error. The software is unbelievable easy. It recorded my old VHS tapes to the DVDs by just hitting record. Simple! I would say the clarity isnt the greatest, but the old VHS tapes arent either, so its probably comparable. I have not yet tackled the more difficult recording where you can edit. Ill work on that! Overall, Im very happy with this and I am not a techy person, just someone who wants to preserve my old VHS tapes to DVD. My son tells me I should put them on a thumbdrive because DVDs are on their way out.

20-11-2024First off, I want to say this company has excellent customer service. A human in the United States answered the phone and was extremely helpful and they have late business hours and work weekends too. Very impressed! I only gave this product 4 stars because as you play the tape on the software it distorts the picture quite a bit which is very irritating and disappointing. They suggested I clean the heads inside the VCR which I admit hasnt been used in years so it could be dusty. Havent tried that yet. Their software also adds some audible noise and distorts the sound quality a little. I guess I could pay a professional company up to $10 a tape to do it but Im not willing to spend the money. Program is super easy to use! I used it with Windows 10 without needing any updating of the software or drivers.

> 3 dayWhile it functions, this is impressive software with several clever features that make converting old VHS or 8mm tapes to DVD format. But users should be patient, as the program will lock up without warning during the capture phase and youll have to close it out with task manager and start over again. The phone-access customer support staff were friendly and offered suggestions to fix the glitch, but to no avail. Now out $60, Ill be looking for other software options as I dont have time to attempt capturing videos 2 or 3 times.

> 3 dayI followed the directions step by step and had a problem at first. I called their tech support line, and they were quite helpful. I think the only issue with this product for me is I do wish there was a faster way to record the VHS as opposed to real time. Ive only messed around with this for about an hour, and it does what its intended. I will try to call the tech support to see if there is a faster way to record.

> 3 dayI had a Diamond video capture device and VHS to DVD 3.0 that served me well for MANY years. Only recently did the Diamond stop working. I started looking for the replacement. Since I have been happy with the VHS to DVD product, this item caught my attention. I can tell you that the hardware that ships with it was quickly set up and is recognized by the system with no issues. The new version of VHS to DVD is a bit dumbed down, but it still does a great job of capturing off my DVR, VHS and other sources I have tried. I recommend it as a replacement for any old hardware / software you have for video capture.

> 3 dayThe USB Box is great and works very well. The Video Editing SW works to edit video. The editing tools are very basic. Much time spent single stepping in frame, and second increments to get to the frame to cut. Makes DVDs that play on your computer, but does not make those that play in a video player. Some how apparently not included.

20-11-2024This is NOT windows 10 compatible, it lags and has issues when installed in Windows 10. It worked okay with WINDOWS 7 & 8 . The only issue I have had thus far is sometimes it lags a little, seems to skip a bit here and there and I am use to one that never did that. I have tried it in several different settings and still does the same thing. Its nice to have but not the best.
