> 24 hourUsing this as a separate monitor in smaller upstairs home office. As much as it would be nice to have a 4K monitor, I really couldnt see spending an extra $200-$300 for it since I wont be watching be primarily watching movies on it. However, the QHD is excellent for general personal and office work, including tasks like software development. Has all the latest common connectivity options - USB-C 3.1 / HDMI 1.4 / DisplayPort / and USB 3.0 inputs. Love the nearly nonexistent bevels around the top and sides and the built-in speakers are more than sufficient. Especially cool is the tool-less assembly! One thumbscrew at the bottom to put the stand together and the stand *snaps* into the back of the monitor. There is a nice built-in handle at the top of the stand behind the monitor to help carry/move it. Wide tilt angle and height adjustment. Well done ViewSonic!! I may have to get another one - just cause!! Just a note that this one is a second shipment. The first shipment was one where the monitor was either damaged at the factory and hastily repacked or it was somehow damaged in some other fashion and repackaged as new. No problem - returned to Amazon the same day via a drop off at Kohls and received this one within 1.5 days.

> 24 hourThere used to be a time when monitors were MUCH more expensive and thanks to the proliferation of options and increased technology, competitive prices have saved our wallets. But when it comes to selecting a monitor, the brand should also be taken into consideration because that is arguably the most important part of your computing process - you need to SEE what you are doing? ViewSonic has been around forever and its quality remains unchanged, and this monitor attests to the craftsmanship and value. The graphics are vivid and crisp, the construction of the monitor is sturdy, easy to assemble and set up - and being able to swivel the screen or flip it is what makes this SO AWESOME! This is a good monitor for your modest home office, an extra monitor for heavy-duty tasks where you need two screens, or even in my case where the screen on an old laptop is cracked and this has saved my work because I am now able to transfer it to another hard drive - I used the VGA output but there is also HDMI! Priced for holiday savings, this is a must have!

> 24 hourPros: 1. Nice picture. 2. Nice to be able to see different applications in different screens. Cons 1. Inadequate instructions to connect to a computer (MacBook Air 2020) that has none of the specific ports. Eventually I figured out on my own how to connect via HDMI using a hub. Not easy to do with limited technical knowledge. 2. I was disappointed to find out that the Display Manager and Split View function are only available on Windows desktop PCs. When I called tech support, they kind of minimized the importance of Split View, but I am working remotely with Microsoft Remote Desktop where a lot of functions are not available. Split Screen would have come in very handy.

> 24 hourUpdated Review: 5/5 stars ViewSonic customer support was great. They admitted there was a problem with firmware updating on MacOS and sent me a replacement monitor and a pre-paid shipping label to send mine back in the same box. The new monitor came with the newest firmware and it works flawlessly. They said that they would fix the bug that breaks monitors during firmware updating, but I still wont risk updating this monitor. Besides the firmware update issue, the only other complaint I have is that the speakers are useless; theyre completely flat and tinny. Other than that, the picture quality and the build quality are excellent. Original Review: 1/5 stars This monitor was great when I first got it. The image is bright and the colors are good. It charges my 15 MacBook Pro and gets 2K output at 60FPS and acts as a USB hub, all over a single (included) USB-C cable. The monitor stand is also very nice, it allows easy height, tilt and rotation adjustment and the setup took less than 5 minutes with no tools. However... I installed the VDisplay software (which lets you control some monitor settings from your computer) and noticed that the monitor had a firmware update available. My monitor was on M001 before the update. After the update, it went to M002, but my monitor could no longer display a proper image. Everything was horribly mangled and covered in rainbow static. Ive tried a laptop and an iPad, Ive tried USB-C and HDMI. Ive reset all monitor settings and tried changing color and display settings. Nothing fixed it. Now my monitor is completely worthless

> 24 hourI have to say that Im really pleased with these monitors. Much sharper than the 24 FHD monitors that I had before (as they should be). The lighting seems pretty even and bright. I ran the monitors through a dead/bright pixel test website and I couldnt find anything wrong with either one. The monitors came well protected. The boxes had a couple of small dents and holes in them, but everything inside was fine. I have them hooked up to a 19 Macbook Pro. I do have to say that I was just slightly apprehensive given the number of people having problems using this monitor with the MBP or Macbooks in general. But Im happy to report no issues at all here. I have one hooked up through USB-C (cable came with monitor) and merrily charging my MBP. The other is hooked up through HDMI via a USB-C hub. (HDMI also came with monitor) I assume I could hook up both through USB-C, but I dont know how the charging works in that instance. Theres also a USB A-B cable included, but thats been tossed aside for now. Anyway, great monitor. Recommended.

> 24 hourIve read a number of comments about IPS displays having backlighting issues (excessive brightness in the corners, bleedthrough, etc.). I cant see any such deficiency in this display. The brightness seems quite even across and down. The controls (brightness, contrast, etc.) are easy to access and use. The 2560 x 1440 resolution and 27 size makes it abut as close as you can get to a 27 iMac (pre-Retina, of course). I wish it was a glossy display (as I love that about iMacs), but I dont find the slightly matte finish reducing clarity. The extra inputs will be convenient should I decide to add another computer to the mix. There are certainly cheaper displays out there but this one ticks all the boxes and even has a three year warranty.

> 24 hourMonitor performed well overall. I liked how adjustable the screen was in terms of angles and height. The only issue I had was with the Type -C interface. Regardless of the USB C cable i used (I tried many) or the monitor settings (I reset the monitor multiple times) I would inevitably hear a high pitch whine from the LCD. The whine would go away whenever I used a HDMI cord. Since I bought the monitor specifically because it had a type c interface, the particular display I received didnt work for me.

> 24 hourMy desk isnt very large so Id appreciate 24 monitors and this fits my desk quite well. The functionality, screen colors and ease of setup are all generally good enough.

> 24 hourThis is a real clear and high quality monitor. I had to get a monitor because I’m now working from home. One of my friends recommended this monitor, I looked at reviews, and made the purchase. I’m glad I did. It’s clear, easy to adjust, and having the ports makes it an excellent choice if you have a MacBook with only the usb-c ports. It even charges my MacBook with the standard plug. Hands down a great purchase.
