Other reviews talk about the picture and the lack of a USB-C cable. They have heard and now include a 10Gb/s 1m long cable which works fine. The built-in speaker sound quality is not as good a the build-in late model MacBook Pro laptop, but is ok. The USB-C cable allows for the monitor to be almost be a docking station. After a month of our family using 2 of these monitors, Ive raised it to 5-stars.

Used it as a side monitor for my 13 inch mac. Obviously this monitor’s screen is not as goos as the mac’s, but totally worth the money and I m still happy with it. Make sure to buy a usb c cable that supports video streaming up to 2k.

Great quilty,. Nice and sharp image . Good brightness. Text mode (eye saver is great ) only negotiate thing Ive found is playing games on it does introduce a notixivle amount of motion blur Im just a casual gamer and usually dont notice that stuff but I do with this one organically so keep that in mind . Other then that , great monitor

Monitor performed well overall. I liked how adjustable the screen was in terms of angles and height. The only issue I had was with the Type -C interface. Regardless of the USB C cable i used (I tried many) or the monitor settings (I reset the monitor multiple times) I would inevitably hear a high pitch whine from the LCD. The whine would go away whenever I used a HDMI cord. Since I bought the monitor specifically because it had a type c interface, the particular display I received didnt work for me.

Ive had one of these for about 1.5 years, and its been a wonderful tool for getting my desk work done. The monitor is crisp, bright, and well suited for creating and editing reports. I also use it for editing of images for my research, and the color range and contrast seem as good as my MacBook Pro display. A great feature of this monitor is the excellent position adjustment range, in particular, it can be adjusted downward to be within ~0.75 of the work table which is my preferred location. Finally, the ability for one cable to serve as the video cable and charging cable is really cool. Mine came with the necessary cable for this. The speakers do suck, but I just configure my Macbook Pro to use the built-in speakers on the laptop.

Love this monitor

I performed so much research on these monitors, as I have some at work and wanted some for home office. Very confusing to research these as their model numbering is difficult. First, I really like these monitors, which is why I bought x2 for home (vg2755 1080). The daisy chaining is awesome, which comes to my 1 star rating. The xx55s dont allow you to! Absolute nonsense as VS markets the awesomeness of USB-C allowing you dock the monitors to each other (which these monitors are usb-c). You have to get at least x1 xx56 and then connect a second monitor such as the xx55. But wait, there is more! Not all xx56s let you!!! It looks like the 4k version does not, but the 2k does? and what of the size differences? I am sorry to give such a low score to something I like but that marketing needs to be far more truthful in what they are advertising.

I did hours of research before taking a chance on this monitor. I bought it as a second monitor for my new MacBook Air 2018, as my new Mac would not recognize my old monitor even with the correct adapter cord (I’m guessing it was too old and outdated?). I chose this product because it is USB-C compatible and based on the positive reviews. I nervously hooked it up using an Apple thunderbolt 3 cord ($39.99 on amazon) hoping my Mac would recognize it and — voila!! It worked beautifully. This monitor is not only perfectly compatible with MacBook Air 2018 but also has great resolution and some nice adjustment features - you can effortlessly move it up and down or swivel the screen side to side using the easy-to-assemble base. I highly recommend it!!

Please be advised, you need a specific USB C cable for this monitor to work with your Macbook Pro or any laptop you have. I DID read a review that says you need a USB C 3.1 cable so I bought an Anker cable. The review on it says IT DOES transmit video but it does not. The reason why the review says so is because it pulls from all versions of the cable so there is a version that DOES work.
