ViewSonic VG2455-2K 24 Inch IPS 1440p Monitor with USB C 3.1, HDMI, DisplayPort and 40 Degree Tilt Ergonomics for Home and Office

I was in the market for an affordable 26inch+ USB-C monitor for my new Dell XPS 15 Laptop. I wanted it to have 3 things: 1. USB-C for power and video 2. Greater than 1080p resolution 3. Good tilt and swivel This monitor was the only one I found that fit these criteria and was under $400. The mechanism to attach the monitor to the base is very good, easy to connect and seems very secure. It also requires no tools. The bezel is very thin on the tops and sides, a little bigger at the bottom. I has some usb inputs on the monitor also, which are useful. The only downside is that the XPS I have requires 130v power input, which is very high for a laptop, and so you get a message about slow charger connected when using the usb-c here for video and charging. I dont know that many monitors or cables could pass through that much power anyway? Most laptops require less wattage and should have no issues. Overall a very good looking monitor. Would definitely recommend.

This monitor has a nice screen and features and is fine for general use. As many have mentioned the stand is excellent. My biggest issue with this monitor is that it will only provide 30Hz through the USB-C port, which is not disclosed in the documentation, and that the power through that port is insufficient to power a Macbook pro 16 under moderate / heavy load, which I did expect, but it seems pretty lame. So if you want to play a game, youll need to plug in your power adapter and connect to the HDMI or other port to get 60Hz. I verified that one only gets 30Hz through the USB-c port on several computers including a Lenovo. Viewsonic support tried to help me with this but eventually gave up.

Using this as a separate monitor in smaller upstairs home office. As much as it would be nice to have a 4K monitor, I really couldnt see spending an extra $200-$300 for it since I wont be watching be primarily watching movies on it. However, the QHD is excellent for general personal and office work, including tasks like software development. Has all the latest common connectivity options - USB-C 3.1 / HDMI 1.4 / DisplayPort / and USB 3.0 inputs. Love the nearly nonexistent bevels around the top and sides and the built-in speakers are more than sufficient. Especially cool is the tool-less assembly! One thumbscrew at the bottom to put the stand together and the stand *snaps* into the back of the monitor. There is a nice built-in handle at the top of the stand behind the monitor to help carry/move it. Wide tilt angle and height adjustment. Well done ViewSonic!! I may have to get another one - just cause!! Just a note that this one is a second shipment. The first shipment was one where the monitor was either damaged at the factory and hastily repacked or it was somehow damaged in some other fashion and repackaged as new. No problem - returned to Amazon the same day via a drop off at Kohls and received this one within 1.5 days.

Simpy amazing! This monitor with USB-C turned THREE cables into one!! Its complete eliminated the cable clutter on my desktop. Before I had hooked up to my Dell XPS 13 9380 the following: one USB-C cable for display, one USB-C converted to USB-A through an adapter for my peripherals, and another USB-C cable for charging. Now a SINGLE USB-C cable hooked up to this monitor does all three things! One single USB-C cable hooked up to this monitor provides power, drives the monitor, and the built-in USB hub in the monitor all works! Simultaneously!! I had an older 19 monitor and replaced it with this one; the picture/video quality is significantly better; screen rotation works great this model has a nice set of ports for connectivity.

Great monitor. Excellent image quality. Very solid product. The usb-c port charges my MacBook Pro 13” (2018). It’s included an usb-c cable.

Used it as a side monitor for my 13 inch mac. Obviously this monitor’s screen is not as goos as the mac’s, but totally worth the money and I m still happy with it. Make sure to buy a usb c cable that supports video streaming up to 2k.

Other reviewers here have noted all the pros about this monitor, I will just add that 1-) the adjustable stand is especially easy to use and useful for long hours and avoiding neck pain and 2-) reminder that they ship only a display port/USB cable and an HDMI cable with it even though monitor is USB -C enabled. if you are running Mojave 10.14 or later the adapters for display port and HDMI simply will not work, the mac book will never see the monitor. You *must* get a USB-C 3.1 to C cable. Then you can just plug it all in. Also need to add a shout out to Anne at Amazon (complimentary) tech support for helping figure all this out by coordinating with ViewSonic because it wasnt documented anywhere at the point at which I was trying to do it. There used to be a time when monitors were MUCH more expensive and thanks to the proliferation of options and increased technology, competitive prices have saved our wallets. But when it comes to selecting a monitor, the brand should also be taken into consideration because that is arguably the most important part of your computing process - you need to SEE what you are doing? ViewSonic has been around forever and its quality remains unchanged, and this monitor attests to the craftsmanship and value. The graphics are vivid and crisp, the construction of the monitor is sturdy, easy to assemble and set up - and being able to swivel the screen or flip it is what makes this SO AWESOME! This is a good monitor for your modest home office, an extra monitor for heavy-duty tasks where you need two screens, or even in my case where the screen on an old laptop is cracked and this has saved my work because I am now able to transfer it to another hard drive - I used the VGA output but there is also HDMI! Priced for holiday savings, this is a must have!

I have to say that Im really pleased with these monitors. Much sharper than the 24 FHD monitors that I had before (as they should be). The lighting seems pretty even and bright. I ran the monitors through a dead/bright pixel test website and I couldnt find anything wrong with either one. The monitors came well protected. The boxes had a couple of small dents and holes in them, but everything inside was fine. I have them hooked up to a 19 Macbook Pro. I do have to say that I was just slightly apprehensive given the number of people having problems using this monitor with the MBP or Macbooks in general. But Im happy to report no issues at all here. I have one hooked up through USB-C (cable came with monitor) and merrily charging my MBP. The other is hooked up through HDMI via a USB-C hub. (HDMI also came with monitor) I assume I could hook up both through USB-C, but I dont know how the charging works in that instance. Theres also a USB A-B cable included, but thats been tossed aside for now. Anyway, great monitor. Recommended.
