> 3 dayMonitor perform very well - good color, excellent picture quality, brightness is much better than my prior monitor. Im using 2560x1440p resolution - and use it as my primary monitor. I also have a 21 HP 1-8-p monitor as my 2nd monitor and am using the laptop screen as monitor 3. All three interact well in Windows10. The 2560x1440 gives me plenty of working area on the main screen -- often I use 2-3 windows on that screen and can still position them to view all with only slight overlaps. I use screen 2 as the screen to share for online presentations or to park an open document or Excel for frequent reference. I only keep then laptop screen open so I can use Hello Windows login from the laptop camera -- I dont really use the screen often. I deliberately bought the USB C to have one cable connections - but due to some other port needs, Im actually connected using HDMI for now so I cannot comment on that capability.

Greater than one weekLove this display! I have a limited amount of vertical room between my home desk and some built-in bookcases above, and this monitor has great vertical adjustment to fit perfectly. Picture and brightness is excellent.

04-06-2025I tried this out with two Macs, a 2018 MacBook Pro with USB C connectivity, and a 2015 MacBook Pro. I connected the ViewSonic using a USB-C to DisplayPort cable, using a Thunderbolt 3-USBC cable, and using an HDMI cable. Whichever cable was used, from whichever Mac, resulted in an identical HD picture and an instantaneous transition to two side-by-side windows that could be used from the Mac. The picture itself is larger than that of the MacBooks built-in video but not quite as bright or as crisp. Still, it makes for perfect watching from a distance - Netflix streaming - or for having an extra stretch of desktop for home-based office work. What I have not been able to make work is the audio. For both Macs, for any cable, I was at best able to get it so that low level volume comes through to the ViewSonics speakers but it is not menu-adjustable nor does it respond to the built-in volume control (though the mute setting works properly). This may be a problem on the MacOS side rather than on the ViewSonics side, The sound can easily be switched back to the Mac where it is controllable in the usual manner. There are a number of adjustments to the video that can be made from the ViewSonics built in menu-driven control structure. Input control to get where you need is reasonably intuitive. The angle and height of the monitor on the detachable stand is easily adjusted, and the unit can be used in portrait mode if desired (and thats really where this shines, since that makes review of long pdf files or Word documents a breeze). This is more of an expansion of the MacBook Pros built-in video for those who need more desktop space, rather than as a separate screen for watching movies or other streaming material. From that perspective, connectivity and operating functionality is all excellent. Now if I could get the audio to play nicely with my MBPs, Id be happier with alternative applications.

> 3 dayI use this to extend my MacBook screen for office type applications. My main need is a crisp picture for smooth text and application windows, and at 1440p the picture is plenty crisp for my needs. There seems to be a bit of confusion as to what cables are included in the box. I cant say if ViewSonic has recently changed what they include, but mine (purchased in July 2020) included a USB-C 3.1 cable. The great feature is the Mac, or any USB-C laptop, will connect video, connect any devices plugged into the monitors USB-A ports, and charge the laptop all over a single cable and without adapters. This is more convenient than I thought it would be.

Greater than one weekGood entry level monitor for business. I like that I can adjust the height and tilt in so many ways. Picture quality pretty good. Only thing I dont like is the menu tree is not very intuitive. Overall a good choice.

Greater than one weekIve had one of these for about 1.5 years, and its been a wonderful tool for getting my desk work done. The monitor is crisp, bright, and well suited for creating and editing reports. I also use it for editing of images for my research, and the color range and contrast seem as good as my MacBook Pro display. A great feature of this monitor is the excellent position adjustment range, in particular, it can be adjusted downward to be within ~0.75 of the work table which is my preferred location. Finally, the ability for one cable to serve as the video cable and charging cable is really cool. Mine came with the necessary cable for this. The speakers do suck, but I just configure my Macbook Pro to use the built-in speakers on the laptop.

> 3 dayPROS -DP and HDMI inputs -New USB-C input. -Excellent stand with swivel, up/down, tilt. -IPS panel which is best for general computer usage. Gamers might prefer a different panel with faster response. -Integrated speakers. Nothing special but convenient to have. -Very good build quality and image quality.

> 3 dayI had an older 19 monitor and replaced it with this one; the picture/video quality is significantly better; screen rotation works great this model has a nice set of ports for connectivity.

> 3 dayI tried the provided USB Type C cable, the provided DisplayPort cable, and this USB Type C (3.1) cable (https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-USB-Type-C-Gen1-Cable/dp/B01GGKYUKI), and all I got was No signal on the screen. I am extremely frustrated and dont know why my macbook pro 16 is not working with this monitor. googling didnt help much, but i could confirm other people were seeing this issue, perhaps due to a macOS problem. I hope someone from ViewSonic can help.

> 3 dayWorks pretty well except the constant red pixel in the middle of the screen. fortunately, it is only one so far.. but still disappointing Edit: I purchased 2 of these monitors and the second monitor now has a dead pixel after 11 months
