> 3 dayI got this to replace the old heating pad that was wearing out. It was super easy to apply, although I still used aluminum foil tape for added security. I have a thermostat hooked up to regulate the temperature. I do expect to need to replace this within the next year or 2, but thats okay since it was much cheaper than buying one at a pet store.

> 3 dayExactly like the picture. Oddly, we dont use this for our reptile, but for our feeder bugs we feed him, which helps them breed so we have more feeders. Its nice because my husband can monitor the temp and we finally have baby bugs to feed our chameleon which saves us from buying them at the store. We keep them in a double tote, so this slid between the 2 totes so they cannot crawl out, but keeps the tote nice and warm. Highly recommend for any reptile person or someone looking to breed bugs for feeders as you can make sure the temperature is always right!

> 3 dayWe have to reset it by unplugging it every week or two because the thermostat zeros out and just keeps heating, regardless of what it is set to.

Greater than one weekAlthough the thermostat is very easy to use it’s temperature reading is off 8-10 degrees Fahrenheit. I don’t think you can reset the reading but just make sure you check the temperature with a laser gauge.

> 3 dayEverything works fine, I thought this was a single(combined) unit when purchased. It is 2 separate pieces.

> 3 dayThis works fine as long as you use the thermostat with it. I actually found with my temp gun (HIGHLY recommended using one of these to double check everything) that it was initially running a little warmer than the probe indicated. Once I took the very ineffective suction cup off and heat taped it near the mat, that fixed the issue. Just keep a close eye on that. The one really crap thing about this mat is the adhesive. It stuck, I kid you not, maybe 10 seconds. The good news is that its extremely easy and cheap to pick up some HVAC tape and stick it back on. For the price, this is just fine. Ive made it work wonderfully for my ball python enclosure.

Greater than one weekThermostat is pretty on point however the heat mat does pretty much nothing barely heats at all after putting in substrate it is a good 20-30 degrees cooler than it should be. Definitely dont recommend this product for anything other than plants so for you reptile people out there dont waste your time on this get a real reptile heat mat and hook it to a thermostat. Have it set to 100°F and when i temp the substrate you are looking around 75 to 80 degrees on top if you are lucky. Again dont recommend for anything other than plants.
