> 3 dayAppears to be well made, keeps accurate tempurature, the only negative is the adhesion, I meticulously cleaned the glass, and only about 80% of the adhesive pad stuck to the glass does not appear to affect the operation of the pad.

> 3 dayJust when zoo med decided to bump prices on theirs i looked to vivosun. I was a tad disappointed that these didnt come with feet for under the tank, but the tank I bought had raised feet anyway. I use this with vivosuns thermostat too. Probe is accurate and the thermostat works like charm.

> 3 dayIm actually using this to maintain temperature for sourdough starter and rising dough. With a controller (bought separately) it does this very well. I do notice that it has a plastic/chemical smell. I dont think it is affecting the food, but it is still noticeable after a number of weeks.

> 3 dayI didnt use the adhesion feature because I was not actually using it for reptiles, but for a homemade incubator for my baby sugar glider joeys that had been rejected by their mom. I was concerned if it could get warm enough to go through the thick fabric AND fleece on bottom of their little mini world. Well, it gets VERY hot (so hot that if it touched their skin I am sure it would leave a burn) but having it underneath their enclosure and with fleece on top it has been absolutely perfect. Its been running almost 100% continually for 2 months now and so far still going perfect. I will definitely buy from this company/brand again when and if I need another larger one in the future.

> 3 dayI bought the 8x12 for a 20gallon terrarium that houses my leopard geckos. For the price, this mat does a good job or at least what I needed it to do. I would not recommend using it by itself during the winter months but when used in conjunction with a day time & night time heat bulb it keeps the tank at around 87 on the hot spot side. I cleaned the underside of the tank before placing & had no issues with adhesion.

> 3 dayI got this during a prime day sale, so I got a really great deal. It was larger than the one I currently had and offered temperature control. It was a great fit. I came home a few days ago and it was buzzing and the temperature control box was extremely hot. Ive only had it for 6 months and now cannot use it due to safety concerns.

> 3 dayI use this for my feeder roach bins. It’s ok. The temp fluctuates badly for some reason. I have it set at 87 degrees for the highest it should go but it never reads that. Goes from 80-85...sometimes lower. Very strange but I’ve never had one of these before so maybe that’s normal who knows. Update Feb 2,2023…just died yesterday…got two yrs out of it so I guess that’s not too bad. May order another.

07-06-2025The worst part about caring for reptiles is the constant need to replace cheaply made heating and lighting products sold by the big pet store brands. THIS HEATING PAD IS STILL GOING STRONG! Jake the snake says it is warm and it still works so were both happy with it.
