> 24 hourIts been almost 18 months since I gave this board to my then 12 yr old daughter for xmas. She asked for a longboard and gave me no other details because she didnt know any: she had been riding her cousins board, and this is what prompted her to ask for her own. And I dont ride skateboards myself (when I fall off a board, I prefer for there to be water rather than concrete beneath me). After doing a bit on reading online, I determined that a drop-through was the way to go because of the enhanced stability inherent to that design; I also concluded that bearings are pretty inexpensive to upgrade, so if the time came that my daughter was proficient enough to want more speed that could easily be accomplished via better bearings, wheels, and maybe even trucks, but for the time being, wheels that didnt spin too fast were actually a virtue. All of that was what I got with this board: a very solid, stable deck that is still extremely easy to turn, but with pretty slow wheels/bearings. And just as Id envisioned, this wasnt a bad thing for a young beginner. My daughter got pretty decent on the board; despite a couple of good spills about six months later she was bugging me for upgrades to be able to go faster, so we installed a basic set of Reds trucks and wheels, just about doubling the glide with a couple pushes. Another benefit of the upgraded trucks was that I was able to torque them down and make the board more stable without much loss of turning radius, as for whatever reason, this deck just turns well no matter what kind of wheels are on it. So if youre looking for a competition level, downhill racing board, this is not the one for you. On the other hand though, if you want something solid and stable to learn on, this board is the perfect choice. For >$50 more, you can upgrade it into a very respectable commuter/mid-level board.

> 24 hourDISCLAIMER: This was my first time getting a longboard, so I didnt know if certain specs that I found about this particular longboard were the same or at least similar to other longboards. Now to the review. Right off the bat, shipping was great. They got the longboard to me in a very short time. It was properly and carefully packaged and there was lots of padding inside to keep the board safe. Once I took the board out, I must say I was pretty impressed. I almost expected a flimsy, cheap board, to match the extremely low cost. However, the board felt pretty good in my hands. It wasnt too heavy or too light. It felt like it could last a long time with careful use. One thing I also noticed is that the wheels were a little harder than other longboard wheels that Ive seen and felt. (This may be an issue for the more hardcore longboard riders that do crazy high-speed slides and stuff) Once I started riding the board it felt very smooth and I fell in love with it immediately. The only cons (kind of) that I found are the boards wheels being a little harder than most longboards and also the fact that the board felt a little bouncy. Other than that, I am completely satisfied with the board. If youre like me, and youre only getting a longboard to have fun cruising at the park, commute to school/work, and get girls, this is definitely the board for you. If youre one of those people that likes to go down steep hills at 70 mph, doing slides and other crazy stuff, then the few cons I mentioned above may have a detrimental effect to your riding experience. I gave 5/5 stars because this board is perfect for what I want to do on a board.

> 24 hourI left 5 stars because the product is great. However, Amazons ability to properly package products has drastically gone downhill. The board was in a large box, face down with one sheet of packing paper on top of it. Front edge of board was scraped up due to improper packaging.

> 24 hourFirst time skating, so I really cannot compare this to any other board, but as a product in general its not a bad buy for $70 (The price has changed daily since I had bought it). I actually received two of these boards, because the first one was unfase to ride as one of the wheels would not stay on. Normally this would be an easy fix, as I should be able to just tighten the nut that keeps the wheel in place, however there was some problem with the wheel or the truck that would not allow the nut to be secured. They sent me a replacement board after a day or two of negotiation. It must be noted that both packages were in pretty bad shape, with the second package looking as if it had been opened mid transit. The product itself is simple, and the design is great. It comes covered in a plastic bag, and has plastic wrap around the deck. The problem with this, is the wrap is difficult to remove around the trucks, as it was put on the deck before the trucks were fastened. It came pretty loose, but a couple turns with a skate tool fixed that, as the trucks had standard sized nuts. Great product, alright company.

> 24 hourGood for a beginner ‘s, as I myself am. I am by no means an expert, still very much a novice so I can’t speak to the nuances of the board. But even as a beginner I can tell that the stress fractures forming Where the trucks attach to the board speak to the quality of the board itself. I’ve had the board for maybe two months now and have strictly used it on a tennis court outside my home as I learned how to balance and turn in maneuver, for the first month and 3/4. I have only taken it on a path, a paved pathway three times for a total of about 6 miles. Still far from putting major even moderate wear and tear on the board and the stress fractures have surfaced. Now i got the board for 40 bucks on Amazon warehouse so I’m not complaining but if I paid the full price I might be irritated

> 24 hourIm a 21 year old that wants a longboard as a means of getting around my college campus and for recreational use. I chose a board over a bike because the board is much more portable (i.e fits in a car). Ive always loved board sports (skateboarding, snowboarding, paddleboarding), so I figured it was time to get my first longboard. Did some research and item comparisons to a longboard my friend got at Target and a bunch of other longboards right here on Amazon. Pulled the trigger not knowing what to expect. Heres my impression of the board: Deck: Deck was the perfect size for me. I am 60, have longer than average limbs/legs and am currently around 190 lbs. It does have a bit of give/flex that made me uncomfortable at first out of fear the board will break (and that I will break something along with it), but this fear goes away the more comfortable you get with it. Skateboards tend not to have this level of board flex because of the smaller wheelbase. Good grip on top. Bottom came with a few bumps and imperfections on the finish, but nothing a week or two of regular use wouldnt have done to it anyways. I also understand because this isnt a professional board, so Im expecting quality, but understandably not the best. Only issue is the tail/nose are tiny, so while you do have a longer wheelbase in relation to the size of the board, its difficult to prop the board up on 2 wheels. Trucks: Seems to be average quality. I thought the handling was too soft for me, so I tightened the kingpins a bit. And then lossened them. And then tightened them. It took maybe 5 minutes to find my preferred tightness, which is one where I dont feel wobbly and can still turn. Ive gone down a few hills and I felt stable after my first couple runs where I was a bit afraid about not knowing how fast I would go and if I could handle the speed. Again, Im a beginner, but I was able to figure it out. Ive tried going for sharper turns by putting more of my body weight on one side/over the edge of the board, but I keep falling. Im gonna chalk that up to the fact that Im new to this and not blame the board. Wheels: Wheels seem to be decent quality similar to the trucks, though the trucks are better quality. Again, not cheap but not the best quality. Decent. Average or a bit above average, I wouldnt say below average. I will probably replace the wheels with Shark Wheels later on. The bearings, though, were terrible. I followed the advice of another reviewer and bought some Bones Redz for around $10 (without spacers, spacers are already included). Huge improvement on the stock bearings without even breaking them in. Its a shame they cut corners here. Now that theyre broken in, I get a lot more distance on each push. To summarize: -Board components are all average or a bit above average, with the exception of the bearings, which are terrible. Im new to longboardong, this is my first longboard and Im buying it over the internet without any real external guidance, so I didnt want to spend more money without truly knowing the best board to get. I couldnt find a cheaper board that came assembled and didnt come from eBay. Nothing about this board astounded me, but thats just because I had realistic expectations. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase and I dont think you can find a better board for $49. If it came with a decent set of bearings I wouldnt have had to replace, I would have given it 5 stars. Edit 1: Its 2 weeks later and Ive cleaned the bearings I bought for the first time and replaced the wheels with Shark Wheels (70 mm 78A Ghost Formula). I rode it around for the past 2 days and though I originally didnt like the new wheels, I changed my mind after I saw how much faster I could go, how mich firther I could coast, and how I didnt get stuck on cracks that would have tripped me up on my other set of wheels. I also ordered a pair of Caliber II 50-degree trucks and I expect to see improved handling since these are 40 degree trucks. Still like the board. Edit 2 (01/03/2019): At this point, Ive logged dozens of hours on this board. I now own other longboards, but this is my favorite. The deck, while not the highest quality, remains the only original part of the board. I still stand by my statement that it is worth the money; if you want a real professional longboard board, youre going to have to spend at least $150 on just the deck itself. With that money, I bought a pair of Caliber II trucks for $35, a set of Shark Wheels for $45 or $40 (cant find receipt), and Bones Reds bearings for about $10. Those 3 elements, especially together, will change the way the board performs and responds more than just the deck. Just some food for thought.

> 24 hourThe Board is definitely easy to learn on, make no mistake it was likely the easiest learning experience Ive had on a board because it comes with pretty tight trucks and a nice wide board surface. It is also a concave deck style, so its easy to feel where your feet are meant to go. A few tips to make this board perform a little better right out of the box, and not overwork your ankle: Buy a Skatetool immediately, loosen the wheel nut on all 4 wheels to get more spin out of the wheels, loosen the trucks evenly, and make sure that they are even because there is no defined front on the board, meaning you can skate in both directions on the board. Also, I dropped some 90mm magneto VOLTS on this board just for fun, and while it can take that size, make sure you tighten the trucks up some to avoid wheel bite because you cant get wheel bite with the 70mms it comes with, but you certainly can get it with larger wheels. My primary negative of this board is that it is so HEAVY compared to many other comparable boards. Dont expect to be doing many longboard tricks with this board, even though it has a pronounced kicktail.
