> 3 dayI absolutely love this product. I’ll definitely purchase from this brand again. This was my first longboard, and I’m learning how to skate with a group of people. Those helping me learn, jokingly take my board and use it due to how smoothly it rides. It’s easy to pick up speed, and the wheels are good quality too. 10/10 would recommend

> 3 dayOverall a great product! Specially for beginners who want to go slow & people of low weight. I’m 93 lbs and turning on this is easier than on my last one. It’s springy too. I’m going pretty slow even with powerful kicks so I do need to change the bearings but i dont want to go too fast at this point anyways so it’s working for me. It’s a good board for the price. I dont think it will break anytime soon. Seems very sturdy. Great for winter cruising.

Greater than one weekMy daughter is going off to college in the fall to California. While she was visiting there she saw lots of longboarders on the campuses and figured she had to have one, so we embarked on doing a ton of online research and arrived at the Volador Freeride Longboard. Given the circumstances of her being a new rider, and being value conscious consumers, we concluded that the Volador was a good choice. It has good all-around components. The bearings are ABEC9, meaning theyre manufactured to exacting tolerances. The trucks are 40 degree, meaning they are amateur friendly and arent going to be overly twitchy at speed. The wheels are 78A, meaning they arent too soft that they wear out fast and not too slow to accelerate. Theyre neither so hard that youre going to feel every imperfection in the tarmac and lack grip. In other words, all the components seem very well matched for both the board and the rider. So we get the board and start bombing down our driveway! Well, not right away, but we (meaning I) got there by the end of the day. In the meantime my teenager daughter, 10 year old son, and I took turns on the board and all had such a great time, that we all decided we each needed to get our own board. The board is a lot of fun and a great value! $70 seemed like a lot of money to me at first, but it seems like a bargain now! I have since continued my research (because my daughter will no longer allow my heavy, risk-taking self on her board) going into skate shops and I cannot say I can tell a difference between this Volador and boards costing up to $200. I have every expectation that the board will hold up and provide years of service. Time will tell of course, but for now, I have to give it 5 stars for initial overall service, value, and performance!

> 3 daySo I ordered one of these because my sister has had for a year and its still in great shape. The board rides really smooth and has a nice amount of flex. It feels sturdy and not cheap. I am brand new to longboarding and wished I had found the hobby sooner. As a beginner, I think this is definitely worth the $60 I paid for it. However, I ordered the solar color, which has the solar system and a black space background in the product picture. The board I received has the same design but the space background is pastel pink. Im not sure if anyone else has experienced this if they ordered the solar board. The pink is cool and is growing on me every time I look at it, but it still took me by surprise.

> 3 dayIts been almost 18 months since I gave this board to my then 12 yr old daughter for xmas. She asked for a longboard and gave me no other details because she didnt know any: she had been riding her cousins board, and this is what prompted her to ask for her own. And I dont ride skateboards myself (when I fall off a board, I prefer for there to be water rather than concrete beneath me). After doing a bit on reading online, I determined that a drop-through was the way to go because of the enhanced stability inherent to that design; I also concluded that bearings are pretty inexpensive to upgrade, so if the time came that my daughter was proficient enough to want more speed that could easily be accomplished via better bearings, wheels, and maybe even trucks, but for the time being, wheels that didnt spin too fast were actually a virtue. All of that was what I got with this board: a very solid, stable deck that is still extremely easy to turn, but with pretty slow wheels/bearings. And just as Id envisioned, this wasnt a bad thing for a young beginner. My daughter got pretty decent on the board; despite a couple of good spills about six months later she was bugging me for upgrades to be able to go faster, so we installed a basic set of Reds trucks and wheels, just about doubling the glide with a couple pushes. Another benefit of the upgraded trucks was that I was able to torque them down and make the board more stable without much loss of turning radius, as for whatever reason, this deck just turns well no matter what kind of wheels are on it. So if youre looking for a competition level, downhill racing board, this is not the one for you. On the other hand though, if you want something solid and stable to learn on, this board is the perfect choice. For >$50 more, you can upgrade it into a very respectable commuter/mid-level board.

> 3 dayThis is the 2nd board I have purchased. I bought this board for my sister. I ordered it in Pine Green and received a Leaf Green board instead. However, the box was correctly marked Pine Green, so this was not the fault of the seller. But he should notify his supplier about this problem. So I planned on sending it back and ordered another Pine Green one because thats the color she wanted. The same thing happened. So Sis just decided to keep it, thinking itll probably just happen again. Brother saw the board, liked it and wanted the first one that wasnt sent back yet. They both LOVE this board! Granted, they are kinda new to skating, but Sis tells me that it rides way better than her other board and it takes turns great. She loves the way it looks and they have so much on it. Hours of fun! Put it this way, she loved this board so much, she settled for a different color. From her excitement, this board comes highly recommended.

> 3 dayIve been riding this board everywhere I can since I got it. Its a fantastic board at a great price, and I couldnt be happier. To go point by point: - The grip tape is very grippy. Your feet are not moving once theyre planted. If you dont want it so corse its easy to sand down, but I like it as-is. - The deck is fairly stiff. This means you will feel the road, for better and worse. Its not the smoothest ride, but it feels more solid for being stiff. The deck is nice and concave, which together with the grip tape makes for your feet being well connected to the board. The deck is symmetrical with a kick tail at either end. Trucks - not too much to say here, theyre pretty standard steel trucks. They came fairly loose, but thats easy to adjust if you prefer them tighter. Bearings - the bearings are fantastic. They roll on par with Bones Reds. There is virtually no resistance once theyre broken in. Wheels - the wheels are mid sized and medium hardness for longboard wheels. They arent the best choice if you just want to cruise, but they work acceptably for cruising and sliding so its a happy medium. If youve ever wanted to try longboarding, this board is a fantastic option.
