Ive waited two months before writing this review because I wanted to see how this board would hold up. Some background information, Ive never had any skating experience prior to this board. I first got this board because I wanted to get around my universitys campus faster. I bought this board not knowing what to expect. Currently, I take my board with me everywhere I go and ride it around to all my classes. Id say I use this board at least 6 days a week and ride on it at least thirty minutes to an hour for all of those days. The board comes with surprisingly good wheels and bearings (although I recommend using a tool to tighten or loosen the wheels because mine came a little too tight). I bought an extra set of better wheels and bearings because I expected the ones that came with the board to be poor; however, in comparison, the ones that come with the board are just little worse than the others I bought. The trucks on the board have held up just fine. The art pattern/design still looks the same since day one, and the shape of the board makes it super easy to carve and make really sharp turns. Lastly, the board itself is sturdy and well made. Ive had many crashes and wipe outs which I believed would leave huge scars on my board or make something come loose, but to my surprise, the board still remains intact with minimal damage. To summarize, the quality of this board has exceeded my expectations and it gets me around campus quickly every day. I would highly recommend this board to anyone who is looking for a board just to cruise around places like a college campus. Since this is also my first longboard, I would also recommend it to anyone who is interested in getting into longboarding.

Was a little jittery and wobbly as if the board was warped, but it’s pretty good after riding it for a while.

This is my first board so I cant really say much about its downhill or sliding capabilities. I use it mainly to commute to and from my campus. I used an extra Sector 9 board at my home to learn and practice longboarding (I know its bigger brand! But the old Sector 9 board wasnt easy to balance on because of top mount design and increased height from the ground!) and so went on to buy this board. Review: The Deck is sturdy and it doesnt at all feel like its going to break with my weight (68 kg). It is way easier to ride and turn on this board. (Before judging, for the love of God, please adjust your trucks. They come loose so obviously, you lose a little balance while kicking. A few turns tighter nut will do the trick :) ) With that said, because I know what a good board probably feels like, the only thing I noticed is I need to kick a lot more frequently to stay in motion compared to Sector 9. I loosened the wheel nut but still, the speed difference was clearly noticeable. Dont get me wrong. There were no vibrations, grinding or hissing sounds from the bearings. They run smoothly but just not for long. So I swapped the bearings from my Sector 9 board and that made all the difference. I could go on longer on the sidewalks without having to push more. The bottom line is: Even though youre just a complete beginner like me and are not demanding excess speed for downhills, I would still highly recommend to change the bearings as it greatly affects your learning curve. As a simple example, you will be a lot more confident over short runs of bad surfaces (mainly on sidewalks with big cracks) as you know all you gotta do is keep your balance because you still have a few more yards to go before kicking again. Happy longboarding

DEFINITELY will buy another one again some day for my sister. Bought one for myself and i learned how to long board with this! I dont do any crazy boarding with this but after a year of going over some hills, I can say with confidence that this long board is smooth to ride on, stable, comfortable, easy to learn skateboarding/longboarding with, AND LOOKS AMAZING. Im happy about this purchase. Im 6 ft 2, 210 pounds. I was riding this no problem even when i was 220 pounds! Feels solid and I love this board!!!! EDIT: Still a great board. been using this for more than a year now! Not daily, but when I need it, it rides great!

A beauty of a board for a great price. The Volador showed up quickly, boxed in cardboard with some paper padding. Unlike some other reviewers that complained of shrink wrap embedded in the trucks, mine had no such issues. Thanks for listening to reviewers! The packaging method still allowed for it to shift in the box and there was a slight paint crack on one side, presumably from shipping. No big deal in this instance, since I’m not too concerned about it staying pristine. It is meant to be used, after all, but others might not be so lucky with transportation handling. Add a little foam on each end and it’ll go a long way to protecting during shipping. I’m new to long boarding, and only had a little experience as a kid with on a 1990s skateboard. This is a vast improvement. It was easy to balance and carve. I’m 160Ib and it handled my weight just fine. My 85Ib kid had a harder time steering. The board feels good and the trucks seem sturdy. After a couple rides the bushings really loosened up/broke in, so I had to tighten them up. No sign that the nuts or bolts are loosening, though. The bearings are ok. A couple of the bearings are making some noise after an hour of riding, which indicates they might not last all too long. Spacers are sized appropriately. Wheels are plenty soft for asphalt roads and cracks. Overall I’m definitely satisfied with the product. It’s getting me and my boys out of the house and around the neighborhood.

The board arrived just yesterday. I got this for myself because I usually ride a Santa Cruz cruiser and wanted a longboard that would let me ride and relax a little bit more. Great board pretty much right out of the box. The board is a good size; 40 is neither incredibly long or short. The deck is a little flexy without feeling unstable. The wheels are very soft. The trucks turn VERY well without any adjustment. Of course, as with any cheap board, the bearings arent great, but those are easily changed (They were better than my Santa Cruz stock bearings, though). Adjustments to be made before you ride at all: Tighten up the screws holding the trucks to the board. They were a little loose when I got the board, so I used a 3/8 inch six-point socket wrench and a Phillips screwdriver to tighten that up. Loosen up the nuts over the wheels. They come screwed on very tight. I used the middle sized socket on my skateboard T-tool to loosen up each one about 30 degrees. A full quarter turn (45 degrees) seemed like a little too much.

4 stars. The trucks were mounted on the board on top of the shrink-wrap which was annoying because me being a perfectionist had to take them off, fully remove the plastic, and then re-mount them. The board is great though. Once I was done with thats initial set up, I had a chance to take it around my neighborhood. It is a very smooth and easy ride. Very easy to turn on this board! As for the bearings, I think I may replace them so I can roll and coast for longer distances. The wood is not entirely smooth in all areas, however the grip tape looks and is phenomenal. Overall the board is great for the money spent on this, just wish they could have shrink-wrapped it after the trucks were already mounted. Update: the bearings on this board are not good at all. As soon as I replaced the bearings with reds bearings, instant difference. The wheels spun for about 5-10 seconds with the original bearings and about 30 seconds to 1 minute with the new ones. Definitely recommend replacing them.

Its been almost 18 months since I gave this board to my then 12 yr old daughter for xmas. She asked for a longboard and gave me no other details because she didnt know any: she had been riding her cousins board, and this is what prompted her to ask for her own. And I dont ride skateboards myself (when I fall off a board, I prefer for there to be water rather than concrete beneath me). After doing a bit on reading online, I determined that a drop-through was the way to go because of the enhanced stability inherent to that design; I also concluded that bearings are pretty inexpensive to upgrade, so if the time came that my daughter was proficient enough to want more speed that could easily be accomplished via better bearings, wheels, and maybe even trucks, but for the time being, wheels that didnt spin too fast were actually a virtue. All of that was what I got with this board: a very solid, stable deck that is still extremely easy to turn, but with pretty slow wheels/bearings. And just as Id envisioned, this wasnt a bad thing for a young beginner. My daughter got pretty decent on the board; despite a couple of good spills about six months later she was bugging me for upgrades to be able to go faster, so we installed a basic set of Reds trucks and wheels, just about doubling the glide with a couple pushes. Another benefit of the upgraded trucks was that I was able to torque them down and make the board more stable without much loss of turning radius, as for whatever reason, this deck just turns well no matter what kind of wheels are on it. So if youre looking for a competition level, downhill racing board, this is not the one for you. On the other hand though, if you want something solid and stable to learn on, this board is the perfect choice. For >$50 more, you can upgrade it into a very respectable commuter/mid-level board.

when it first arrived and i opened it for the first time i thought oh no this may have been too big and maybe it wouldve been better if i have gotten the penny nickel 27 inch board or a regular skateboard 31 inch and that i should just return it. so i tried to just hop on it inside my house and gave it a shot, boy was i wrong. this board was freaking awesome!!! i dont know if it was because this is my first time riding a skateboard in general and the adrenaline just kicked in but what i can definitely say about this board it is definitely smooth and comfortable. there was and is no way i can return it as i grown to love it within the past 2 hours (haha) this is definitely a great board ^_______^ i bought this board along with a 21 inch board for my friend as me and her plan on skating for the first time this winter break :)
