> 3 dayI like this fans features, and its dimensions. From a security standpoint, I have it mounted into a single-hung window, and the window is secured with a locking device. With its low profile, even if someone were to push the unit out of the window from the outside, the opening is too small to crawl through. I like the mounting system of variably sized foam pads that fill the gaps between the unit, and the window. The only drawback with the pads is that some of the corners are slightly rounded, resulting is some small gaps that small insects could pass through. I stuffed a small cotton ball into each gap, taking care of the problem. The remote has been working well, which is good, as I have limited access to the front of the unit. My headline, being great for smaller rooms is that the unit, while pushing a good deal of air for its size, is a touch too small for the room I have it in. I use the unit to blow cool outdoors air into our living room after the outside temperature is lower than the indoor temperature. Our living room is about 400 sq. ft. with a vaulted ceiling. The unit certainly helps cool down the house, at the cost of taking a long time. We leave the unit on overnight, and turn it off when the inside-outside temperatures equalize.

Greater than one weekEasy to install and operate. I would buy for each window in room rather than run A/C all day.

> 3 dayEasy for me to install. Wanted fan I could put in window and leave in place for season. I use it to bring in cool air at night and turn off and close house during heat of day, sometimes run portable AC in day if needed. This fan closes when it’s off to block most of outside air (will see how much heat is actually transferred when days get warmer but we had some nights in low 50s when I didn’t run fan and my room temperature stayed the same overnight so unwanted cooler air did not seem to be coming in). Also I have it installed in my bedroom, and like the privacy of not being able to see through the fan from the outside when it is off or operating. Ever since I installed the fan our weather has turned cool so haven’t needed to use it. I did turn it on a couple of nights for a few minutes on low speed just to try it, and it did lower the temperature of room and seemed to be circulating the air well.

27-11-2024I just purchased this fan for a bathroom window, where I often sneak a cigarette instead of going outside when Im busy working and short on time or if it is miserably cold or hot outside. The fan is attractive and the spacers to seal the gaps on the sides worked well for me (but are not air-tight). (I have 10-yr old Pella vinyl windows with screens.). The reversible air flow option is convenient and works just ok. However, in the exhaust mode, when strong winds blow against the fan from outside, the outside air still pushes past the fans and into the room even on the highest exhaust speed. When the fan is in the OFF position, it is advertised that the fan automatically goes into Closed Mode. The accuracy of this statement by the seller is of questionable accuracy. It is true that when the fan is turned off, the fan blades close in on themselves; however, this does NOT close the fan from in/out air flow. There are uncloseable gaps around the fan blades allowing wind, outside smells (car exhaust), and pollen to blow into the room. The fan is easily installed, but it is not meant to be taken in and out simply with each use to combat this problem. The idea is nice and might be more functional in temperate climates, but in Atlanta, it gets HOT and I will not be able to leave this in the window in the window anytime outside of the few weeks of fall we get. Other than the mediocre exhaust fan power, it is not a whole lot different than just leaving a window open given the inability to close the vents. I would not have expected to pay anything more than $45 for this product rather than the $100 price tag.

Greater than one weekI grabbed this after being interested in the smaller design and good reviews, as my Holmes dual window fan was old and falling apart, literally. However.. I am not that impressed with this. It was a pain to install, and I am waiting for it to eventually fall out of the window.. but DISCLAIMER... I live in a historic building in San Francisco, so I have old windows... is no slot for the fan to fit in., is just the wooden window ledge, and thats it.. drops right down to the exterior concrete ledge, Also, the bottom of the window isnt flat, it is angled for some reason, so it doesnt clamp down. I assume anyone with modern windows wont have an issue at all with this. It is a bit louder than I had expected, especially while on exhaust, it is actually a bit louder than my Holmes dual-window fan, as it makes like a rubbing type of sound when running, though it might go away...it is quiet, but enough to annoy me. I do voice-over and narration, so one of the selling points of this was being able to run it while recording, which I cant do with my current fan. I dont know if it will get picked up or not by my mic yet. The lowest fan speed also seems too strong. However, this is most likely from being used to the dual-fan, but the lowest setting on this fan is equal to the high setting on my holmes, so getting hit with a lot more air than used to.. which I am sure will be great in summer, but right now, I wish I could just turn the speed down a bit more. WHile exhaust is an option, it is a lot louder, and I assume that is from air blowing off the window ledge, as I have very long ledges. The temperature control is very accurate. As far as Alexa, it wouldnt sync via the barcode, had to hold down the power button until the light flashed, then it found it and connected, but since, it just says device unresponsive. I reset the fan (power and fan direction for 6 seconds) and connected it back to Alexa, which worked again, but then it right away went back to device unresponsive...

> 3 dayWorks well. Fairly silent and does manage to shift all the hot air out of a room in a few minutes. I mounted it at the top of my window in rhe computer room as that room gets hot and stuffy fast Maor gripe with it....you cant tell if its on or off. The power led stays on all the time, and the rest of the display powers off after a few seconds..fine..but you cant seeif its on or off. If the power led went red while powered down or something...but nope. Looks powered on even when off. Or off when on. Very annoying. But even with that ive ordered another to go under my desk. Its quiet enough for that and has low vibration. No more mosquitos chewing my elbows. Got the second one in black. Also pretty awesome. Can confirm they use the same code so the remotes are interchangeable and can affect two devices at once.

Greater than one weekOn the positive side the fan is very quiet and it fits well in my window. It allows me to leave the window only about 4 inches open which means I can put stoppers on the window and keep anyone from breaking in. The negatives, however, outweigh the positives. Even on high, the fan barely moves any air. A light breeze outside and an open window will do more. The controls are also impossible to see during the day. I had to wait until nighttime to setup the fan direction and speed, and then just turn it on and off during the day. The remote control is no help either. It only intermittently works, the buttons are in the wrong places (the up is on the right and the down is on the left). And the temperature mode and fan direction mode buttons are reversed. The button with the thermometer (bottom) controls the fan direction, and the one with the odd direction symbol (top) controls the temperature setting. Update on the air flow: It turns out the slider that determines the airflow direction was stuck half way. I disassembled the unit and manually moved it all the way in one direction, and now the airflow is quite good.

26-11-2024As others have already mentioned, installation can be a pain. 1. The unit protrudes out the window too far, hitting the screen. This causes it to not sit properly on the window sill. I could remove the screen but this is just an invitation for mosquitoes to be sucked in. 2. The foam pieces are not sized properly to cover the gap on the sides and at the top. Included with the unit are two 4 in. pieces, two 2 in. pieces, and two 1 in. pieces. So if the gap is exactly on the inch mark, such as 4,5,6 etc. these work fine. but if you need 1/2 in. more, youre out of luck. I had to use a box cutter to cut down a 1 in. piece This is dangerous as the foam is hard to cut. You also might be able to use double sided tape. 3. A foam pad has been added to the top of the unit where the window comes down on the unit, not a bad idea. But the foam pieces were sized to the top of the unit before the foam was added. This makes for a sloppy fit. 4. Operation is confusing. There is a power indicator, but it does not indicate that the unit is on or off. It only shows that the unit is plugged into a power outlet. The control panel has to be woken up before you can do anything else. It only stays awake for a very short period of time before it goes to sleep again. Having said that. I love this unit. The fan is quiet, and is easy to control. It maintains the desired temperature. This used in my bedroom and the window is next to the bed.

> 3 dayIts a nice fan and all but I bought this fan mainly for the convenience of the auto-temperature control. Unfortunately, this feature is WORTHLESS because the fan reads the outside temperature. For example, the other night the fans control panel was reading 58 degrees but the temperature in my room was almost 70. With such a big deviation between outdoor and indoor temperature, this fan does a poor job of regulating the temperature in a room. Its a nice fan and all, but youre going to have to turn it on and off manually. You cant really rely on the temperature control.
