I bought a new macbookpro at bestbuy. bestbuy gave me a free 6 months but when it was time to renew bestbuy the renew fee was 50 dollars. I uninstalled it and bought the mac and pc cd version it only cost me 20 dollars :) the sofware itself is very easy to use i like it over norton or avg or other titles.

Seach No Further this is all you need in an antivirus. It is non intrusive, installs in 2nds and no nag screens unless you happen to try to go to a suspected unsafe site and it works Great! The price is unbeatable! I have used Webroot for 3 years. Before that I have had AVG, Nortons, and another popular antivirus software that I cant recall the name right at the moment. All those other Software Programs wanted to iinteract with me and bug and nag me at times but not Webroot. It uses little space on your computer and will not slow you down at all. Its great! Great software support also. So save your money unless you just want to give another company your hard earned bucks. Also a tip the price here for 3 users if less than Walmarts.

Excellent program, runs in the background. I had not used Anti-Virus protection in years, as Macintosh is relatively immune. I had recently downloaded Mac Cleaner and that is when the apparent problems began. Virtually every time I clicked while running Safari, I would get a new screen warning of a new virus infection. These screens looked official and many appeared to be actual Apple sites. I once followed the prompts and ultimately this led to a purchase screen for their advanced product. I seems that the program was loaded with issues that automatically prompted virus alerts. Webroot cleared all these issues on the first scan. I am sure other brands of virus protection work well. In the olden days - from 1987 to 2008.... I still have my first Mac SE, I used Norton software, which worked extremely well for protection, backup, etc. Since purchasing my first laptop in 2008; however, no additional protection software seemed necessary, at the time. Times have changed. I tried Trend Micro, but had download issues from the vendor, and finally requested and received a refund. After reading multiple reviews, I selected Webroot and so far, am pleased. This Webroot program offers protection at a reasonable price.

I have used Webroot antivirus for years and have never been concerned for the security of my computer data. It is easy to install, easy to update each year and a very reasonable cost per year. It updates very frequently and when I want to run it, it is very easy to access and update my system

Was one day before I was due to “renew” my subscription. Had already ordered disc at good savings over online cost. Went to auto install and kept bringing up “renew” now screen. Plus it knocked off my one day saying I had no protection. After uninstalling original, install went smoothly.

I purchased a renewal subscription from Amazon and was waiting for the prior year subscription to expire. I was in the process of preparing important documents regarding sale of a building. All of a sudden my screen locked up and a web root blue screen gave me a choice of renewing or uninstalling. Even going to task manager and attempting to end the task wouldnt work. I got an error message access denied. I couldnt get out of the blue screen and unfortunately and only a hard reboot of my computer would work which caused me to lose all my unsaved work. All five of my computers locked up the same way. In prior years, you could go to task manager and end the web root task, then proceed to enter your new key code with no need to uninstall. Then try finding a phone number for tech support...good luck. This is a ridiculous way to do business and to treat your customers. A simple message warning you that you need to renew would be sufficient. I can guarantee you Im going to switch antivirus software immediately.

Third time I have used this software. The vendor tries to sell an update when it renews however I find it is always cheaper to buy a new copy and just delete the old. Nice that it supports up to 3 different computers for the price of the 1 disk.

The system was hard to install, the only thing I got out of this disk, my laptop crashed, so when I got home I called webropot.com/support. The middle eastern dude was rude. He stated that I needed to follow his instructions and he would install the anti virus. He took over my computer and started to say that my windows ten was corrupt, so I needed a new one . Money (cost) would fix the problem. I advised I just wanted the Webroot installed, nut he said that to do this I needed to buy the operating system. I declined, he was very persistent, but while doing this he locked my computer, when I logged out. I restarted my computer it went to safe mode, I could see the curser arrow moving. Needless to say I lost important documents, pictures of my grandkids. Amazon stated that they were not responsible. So I say do not buy software from AMAZON, nor allow a shyster to take over your computer, THEY A SCAM ARTIST WHO JUST WANT YOUR MONEY. beware
