Greater than one weekI was a devout Webroot fan until I saw a test that prompted a lukewarm review of this antivirus on a website. I thought Id give a free anti-virus a try for a year and reevaluate my results. Big mistake. The free suite may have been sufficient, but you get what you pay for. I thought back over the time I used Webroot and how much I enjoyed its silent presence and decided to give it another try. Im glad I did. It leaves a very small footprint on your hard drive, scans quickly, doesnt hog resources, and is easy to customize. The only reason I chose to give it four stars is a mildly annoying status box that pops up on my computer every time I turn the machine on. Otherwise, no complaints and, depending on my finances, plan on upgrading to the SecureAnywhere Complete when my renewal is up. Note: In addition to this product, I also use the free version of MalwareBytes, free CCleaner, Firefox browser with several privacy add-ons. Webroot has worked well with all of these.

> 3 dayIve been using Webroot for about 5 years now and have never had a virus infect my computer. Its worked great for me - this year I put on all 3 of our computers as I found it to be the most effective antivirus program I could buy. Its also cloud based so its always up to date.

Greater than one weekThe software works very well however customer support is almost non-existent, and Ive been trying to reach their customer support operation for several weeks now to resolve an inaccurate device count that the software is reporting via a personal security report (PSR). This software allows 3 installations. Ive only installed it on one PC and had hoped to install it on my daughters MAC. Finally found a working phone number to their customer support and was advised that they could NOT correct the inaccurate device count listed in the PSR. However, the device count listed in my online Webroot account is correct. I paid for a software program but also paid for the customer and tech support to back it up. You have to search to find the links and contact information to get customer support hence the one star. 10/1/2016-New problem- I need to change the primary email address and their knowledge base reports that I have to obtain a new key code and then uninstall and re-install the program. Its just an email address in the personal account settings, like making an edit to update a telephone number- why make it so difficult? It should be easily updated in the account settings but its not. Again only one star.

> 3 dayNever needed tech support. I uninstalled the last one, then installed the new one. Ive been using WEBROOT for several years now. Never understood why the CD (physical) version is cheaper than the (download) Renewal version. Same program, same features. For me, If you can wait to get the CD, youll save money.

> 3 dayThird time I have used this software. The vendor tries to sell an update when it renews however I find it is always cheaper to buy a new copy and just delete the old. Nice that it supports up to 3 different computers for the price of the 1 disk.

Greater than one weekThis is a new concept in anti virus. At first I was skeptical because it works with a cloud base. This software sits in the background and just does its job. No mus no fuss. No splash screens every five minutes. No slowing of programs. I am really impressed. However; you must let it do its job. Dont try to control it. I had a problem with a point of sale program and this software on our store computer. Their customer service although not instant is very good. They are involved in getting it right. I have gone from Norton AV which I have used since Peter Norton owned the company, to this. I have install it on five machines already and have 2 more to go.

> 3 dayEasy to install and then scan your C drive. It did not find a virus, everything was clean and surfing the net improved temporarily. It seems the problem was not my computer or a virus but rather Comcast. I called them and they said there was no outage in my area. After trying everything I could think of, I called them again and said, send out a man. The lady said, there is an outage in your area. This problem has gone on for three weeks with them and they kept saying it was my equipment. I even installed a new modem and checked every connection a million times, while cleaning everything out of my computer. No wonder they are the most hated company in the country. No TV reception either. Now, one TV, I never watch but am charged for, gets only one channel. I am sure they will say that is my fault too. I believe their tech people just read from a script.
