Most other security software tend to get in the way and slow down te computer, or to take forever to get their updates, or to want constant inputs from the user. Webroot does its job effectively and fast. Any, by the way, it also works with WinXP as well.

A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to purchase one of the few remaining BRAND NEW Windows 7 laptops direct from the manufacturer (a Toshiba Satellite C50). I was researching antivirus and anti-malware programs because I did not want to settle for a Norton 30-day trial. The usual suspects (Norton, McAfee, etc.) just would not do most users justice due to bad tech support, bloating, etc. Then I read about Webroot SecureAnywhere, and was quite impressed by users reactions after using the product. After validating my Windows 7 and Microsoft Office for the first time, I immediately put the CD-ROM into my laptop; the installation had taken no more than 2-3 minutes tops. The scan time is super fast and takes effect once every 24 hours, even with my computer off! (I just checked the results of my last scan; duration was only 15 seconds!) When I use Google and look through the results, I get colored circles telling me about the risks, etc. Once, I attempted to download a game demo, but Webroot saved me from possible malware! (It found suspected malware and got rid of the problem in just seconds! I ran another full scan afterwards just to be safe.) Overall, I am glad that I purchased this utility. Even if youve never heard of Webroot, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you purchase this program for your computer, new or old! Im not sure if its just me, but I find this to not really do much for me. Yes, this internet security does have impressive reviews, which is the reason why Ive gotten it but after the first year, I decided not to renew because I find it to be mininum at best, but thanks to the special on Black Friday I renew the license for another year, and still not that impressed. First thing first, the pro is that it is very light on the system, and alledgedly scan fast. You hardly notice it in the background and it does automatically updates for you. But the problem is when you actually scan it, the commputer lags and slows down and the fan just comes on due to the stress it costs on the computer. I have had multiple instances when the program was scanning my computer with other programs running, my computer crashed. Definitely overrated, but definitely better than some of the other software out there.

Received my Webroot PC security disc as promised It installed easily and at this point in time works seamlessly with my windows operating system. It also seems to have a smaller footprint and my system seems to be working faster then the antivirus software I had been using. I will soon be upgrading to windows 10 so the jury is out how it will work with the upgrade but at this time I am very pleased with my order and Webroot security 2015

Installed on Win 7 after some hang-ups probably due to slow/intermittent internet service in rural area - internet connection to website required even with CD. Couldnt install on Win 10 or Vista and took to computer repair with high speed internet. Successful on Win 10 but documentation says Vista (and earlier no longer supported). Seems to work fine and similar to Norton which I had used for over 25 years but need to replace because they no longer support Win 7 or Vista.

We family of 5 have used thus program to keep us safe. This one is the best for that. Have used 3 other companies in the past, this works the best for us. I installed 5 days prior to another 1 year coverage. I sent a note to Webroot and they guided me how to add the new key without the need to reinstall. Plus our 5 days were added to the 365. ☺

Ive been using this fr years on both my iMac and my Win 10 laptop. It does a great job at detecting viruses and malware. It does not tie up resources like other similar programs do. And its a great value covering 5 computers for one low price.

Webroot has caught many threats to my computers. It works automatically and can also be worked manually. Their are also some settings that users may choose from that may cover some special concerns. It is fast as it is configured. But I found one threat that it had missed by going directly to the whole operating system, C: drive, and start the app from there. It took a long time to run that way, and it only caught one threat. I plan to use it this way only twice a year. And I will renew my contract soon. UPDATE - 10/17/15: All of the above is or was true, Im jut angry with them. The CD they sent me would not accept the Product Code, the on line help is all robotic. I wasted two hours and got nowhere. Im leaving the 4-STARS posted, but Im sending the software back and changing my digital security to Norton.

Ive used Webroot for over 3 years. Never gotten a virus on any of my machines while using webroot. Amazon sells this version for less(almost $10) less than any of the big box stores, and also less than Webroot offered me to renew. This product scans your machine faster than any other product Ive used! However, it will block certain functions on a machine that uses Windows 10. I installed it on my new Windows 10 laptop, and Webroot conflicted with touchpad issues, and slowed down Windows 10 updates. Windows 10 supposedly has a built in virus protection. When I removed Webroot from my new laptop, the touchpad issues, and the slow update issues disappeared. Caveat. These are just my experiences. Also, this is not a download, but, product includes the disc. And a renew code. If one already has Webroot, the renew code can be entered without playing the disc. But, if one of the devices you need to install the program on, is not at your location, it is good that this product includes the disc, as you can take the disc with you to the other location. I have computers of mine at several locations. I only wish Webroot would supply support for more than 5 devices, like the other antivirus programs do You can always add a device, for more money, online at their website. But, I wish theyd sell the product, to cover all ones devices.

Installed this program today. The installation was easy. I am impressed with the security that the program offers. Significantly easier and faster than other programs I have used. So far, I am very, very pleased with the installation. I found this program while scanning Amazons website. Initially, I was reluctant to try it. Frankly, I never knew that this program existed. I would definitely recommend it.
