Western Digital 500GB 2.5 Playstation 3/Playstation 4 Hard Drive (PS3 Fat, PS3 Slim, PS3 Super Slim, PS4)

Hardest part was finding which Playstion software to put on thumb drive. Runs so much better now.

Once I backup up my data, dropped this new drive in, formatted drive, ask it to restore my data, boom back to how it was before, love it. going from 60GB to 500gb, oh man thats huge extra space. took the 120gb out of my Slim ps3 and dropped another WD 500gb in there works perfect. These HDD I have dropped into 3 - PS3s and they all have worked perfect, plus very easy to update the PS3 to this new HDD.

The drive works, but its definitely not a NEW drive. There were adhesive residue from where labels were removed. And the date code was 2015. So this NEW drive is already out of warranty.

Just what we needed. Very easy to upgrade a PS from stock to 500GB. Make sure you xfer your data or be prepared to play all your games all over again (like us)

Other than the multiple emails I received from the company asking me to review the item, it works for the intended use I bought it for (use in my PS3).

Just got a PS3 because I love old systems. I was worried that Id have to follow complicated tutorials and reformatting blah blah blah... Im super lucky my PS3 came blank and had the latest system update. Just popped it in and it worked right away!

Works for the PS3 Slim, Only annoyance is that it Actually only contains 465 GB as opposed to 500, But then again, My old 160 GB Hard drive only contained 147 GB

Received promptly. Item worked great for about 6 weeks. Then PS4 no longer recognized it. I contacted Amazon they will refund minus a restock fee. So I’ve messaged the seller to see what he will do.I will update with outcome. Also the item I received is not the same as pictured with the listing. The listing also says new but when you read description it says used.

This was EXACTLY what I needed to upgrade my PS3s hard drive. It was an easy installation, too. Going from a puny 10 gigs or whatever it was to begin with to 500 is INCREDIBLE. Everything I originally had on my old memory I transferred, and the system takes care of the rest. Sony made it easy, but the installation, transfer, and downloading all those new titles you want still takes a while. The price is worth it for this purpose. Definitely could be used for other purposes, but 500 gigs is enough for this console. Nothing was faulty, but be careful with anything like this while youre installing it. Definitely recommend this.
