Just what we needed. Very easy to upgrade a PS from stock to 500GB. Make sure you xfer your data or be prepared to play all your games all over again (like us)

Just what I needed to get my games and programs back up when old PS3 Hard Disk began corruption and wouldnt download nothing and stay slow, but now with a Hard Disk with more memory , Its like everything back up to speed and working , cause few of my games goes over 10 gigs and it got the speed for them , And easy to follow instructions on the Playstation site to download the update to a flash drive , Just use your notebook and create two folders one PS3 and the other UPDATE and download the update on the the computer , make sure the folders and capitalize letters , put the PS3 program in the UPDATE folder , then after put the UPDATE in the PS3 folder and slide it over to your flash drive folder after you plug in the drive.and butter bing you are good to go , oh and plug the flash drive in the PS3 so it can read the update .

This was a great option for my ps4 slim, it was cheap and effective. I highly recommend getting one of these if you need to replace your HDD.
